We don't have a lot of grocery stores in Muskogee. Still trying to find a happy medium of good meat prices from one place to another and figuring which one should hold the bulk of my monthly food budget. Number 1: I liked the Choose 5 deal, which is where you choose whichever labeled product with this tag on it, 5 of them, all for $20 plus 10%. If you don't have a lot of money, this is nice because it allows you to purchase multiple items of variety for very little. You'd be surprised what you can make a burrito out of, ya know? Number 2: The produce department had a lot of rotten food on display, unculled, and rearranged as if it was nice, to try to sell it. I understand trying to keep prices low by not throwing old stuff away but if you seriously think people are going to buy moldy food you are sadly mistaken. Stop trying to make it look like its a choice when it just needs to be thrown out. Number 3. The people were ridiculously nice. A warm genuine smile makes all the difference to me, especially when we are obviously not from around here. Number 4. Please, if you care anything at all about holding your lunch in, do not use the bathrooms in this store. I somehow managed to go unscathed without touching an inch of it and even stood there debating whether my sanity would allow me to wash my hands, but I couldn't actually bring myself to touch anything at all and ended up having to just walk out... I feel really bad for the employees. Overall, It needs help. But with the nice people and cool deals, it is a decent place to stop when you don't...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would and it would be generous. Let’s talk about the so called "manager" Jalena here. I witnessed an employee clearly overwhelmed, repeatedly calling for help over and over again. And what did jalena do? Absolutely nothing. She stood around acting like she couldn’t be bothered, completely ignoring the situation like it wasn’t her job newsflash: it is.To make it even worse, she looked like she just rolled out of bed. I'm sorry, but if you’re going to wear the title of manager, at least try to look and act like one. There was no sense of professionalism, no urgency, no leadership just laziness on full display. It’s embarrassing for the store, demoralizing for the employees, and frustrating for customers to watch a manager do literally less than the bare minimum. Jalena should not be in charge of anything, let alone a store. Management like this is why stores go...
Read moreIf I could not give a star I would leave that blank! Usually... Any Harp owned Store is pretty darn good. Because, their core values are Met with high quality service. But, this Store is far from what that company expects of their employees. My visit was brief as in and right back out. I work full time and no exactly what good customer service looks like, as well as I worked for Harps and am quite aware of what that companies values are. I was not greeted, okay! I can look past that. I asked where a product was located, and the employee was irritated with my question, and simply said down that isle. Okay, which isle? Then I started towards the register and with my one item and the associate ignored to go outside and catch a smoke! I'm done... I sat my stuff down and left. Come on harps get some people who enjoy having a job... And like providing good service to...
