There are 4 restaurants in Oklahoma that operate under the Lopez restaurant cartel name. Two here in Muskogee, one in Wagoner and one in Guthrie. I have not dined at the one in Guthrie. The other three restaurants are consistent in food quality, flavor, presentation, and service. They all share a common menu and are fairly equal in these attributes. The Lopez restaurants in Wagoner and Muskogee are probably the best Mexican restaurants in each town. Between the Lopez Grill Mexican Restaurant on 32nd and Señor Lopez Mexican Grill here on York St. I'd give a slight advantage to Señor Lopez Mexican Grill. Confused? Easy to do. Just eat at a Mexican restaurant that has Señor and Lopez in the name. In Muskogee there are too many other bad Mexican restaurants.
Chips and Salsas are adequate. Service fast and friendly. We had the Combo # 3 and the Enchiladas Rancheras with Fajita Chicken. Not massive amounts of food, but fresh, hot and satisfying. Lopez's enchilada sauce is a habanero flavored sauce. Not hot, just a nice smooth habanero flavor and characteristic orange color to match. The meats are lightly seasoned.
There you have it. It is an easy choice. In Muskogee eat at Señor Lopez Mexican Grill.

Read moreI had the carne asada. It was awesome. Came with rice which was exceptional and beans topped with cheese. Now for the main food item.. It was delicious. Well portioned thick sirloin steak slice. It was just right. Not it's bit fatty because of the meat it's self but it adds flavor to it. But by all means it wasn't greasy. Really tender and cut apart nicely with a knife. The rice was dry like it should be and flavorful. It didn't stick to the plate which is another good thing and again it wasn't greasy. Beans were good. But it wasn't as thick as i thought they would be. It wasn't runny. But you needed a fork to help it on the tortilla. Chips were hot and the salsa was great mild spiciness. I would like to see and option for onion for the salsa.. It would of made the difference for the flavor. Guacamole is ok. Just like any other place.. Overall the place is clean. It didn't take long( within 2 mins) for the bus boy to clean the table up after the couple left. Empty Plates were picked up accordingly and within a timely matter.. Waiter was nice. Took our order efficiently. And food came out fairly quick considering how many people were there at lunch time, which was pretty full... Not packed tho. I will be...
Read moreI’ve had terrible experiences at both locations in one week I’ve given them business two different times in one week. Once we went into the York Street location and sit down and had dinner and they didn’t acknowledge us for a whole 15 minutes while we were sitting there and wouldn’t even give us a drink, but they were handling the other two tables that were right next to us, but just kept ignoring us Finally we had to go to the front desk to order our food because we were getting absolutely no help. Then after working all day, I ordered some Lopez at the location on Highway 69 and they were so rude when I went to pick up my order I gave them my name and told them what I had ordered and when the guy came out to give it to me, he was like interrogating me to make sure that I was who I was said I was. It’s funny. If I go in there all dressed up they treat me like a God, but if you go in there and you look a little bit frumpy because you’ve been working all day. They treat you completely different. I just think there customer service has went downhill terribly in...
