I have many things to say, but I will try to get straight to the point. A while back. Maybe last year some time. I discovered that a person I worked with had the exact same service I did through my internet provider (optimum). She was paying nearly $20 less than what I paid. I discovered it wasnt just her but anyone who recently signed up at that time was getting the same deal. I called to ask if they would give me that deal. They were anything but helpful or nice. They ended with telling me they weren't doing it. I recently, yesterday as a matter of fact discovered a new service provider in town who offered me a better deal than them. Double the speed too. I called Optimum today to let them know I will be rendering their services. I was on my lunch break and just wanted them to turn off the service. Instead they told me not to terminate my service and started offering me deals. Which honestly made me very disappointed in how they do their services. They refused to give me a deal back when I asked for one. Now, that I have decided their services are no longer needed they insist I stay. I told them that it wasn't happening letting the man know I no longer want to speak, that I just wanted to eat my lunch and get back to work. This man told me I was the one who called them and insisted i talk to him. At that time I told him I was done talking to him. I hung up. I don't want anything from this company and I don't know if my services have been terminated but I will try to call them once more as of tomorrow. If not successful again, I will be going to their store on Wednesday to have the services rendered. The man was not nice and insisted that I tell him who my new provider was. Which is absolutely none of his business. I hope that what they are doing is stopped it seems illegal to force someone to stay with a company. I have been with them since they took over in this town for the past 4 years. They had their chance to keep me when I asked them to lower my monthly payments last year. They lost me as a customer when they said they wouldn't help me last year and I will not be...
Read moreAgain with Suddenlink. I called and talked to someone about upgrading my service so I can buy tv from them instead of AT&T on Monday and she got me pricing and gave me a date, 9/18, and window, 11-2, to be expecting someone to come by and install the equipment. I work in Broken Arrow so I had to take off of work to be at the house to meet the tech. It gets to be closer to 2 so I call Sudden link to see if their tech will still make the window and after being on hold for 20 min my call was dropped. I then decide to try their website and get a hold of someone on the chat option and wait on her to search their system and find out there isn't an install scheduled for me so the original woman I spoke with lied to me about the appointment.I then get told I have to call sales again and restart the process and schedule another install and upgrade. I look at my screenshot of the plan the last woman from Monday was supposed to get me on and the new sales person bumps the price up about $7 a month and I get word from the scheduling department they now can't get me in until Oct. 1st. So, I took off work a full day to wait on someone who was never scheduled, missed out on 8 hrs of pay, Have to pay at&t at least another month of TV and now have to wait until Oct. 1st to have to take off work again and hope they show up this time. I had to lock my dogs up in a room for a few hours in anticipation of the tech arriving so they wouldn't freak him out. I told my aunt about this and they missed an appointment to work on an issue with her system today during the same window for the second time. At&t has been sending me all kinds of offers to get me to come back to be them for both internet and tv and they are starting to look a lot better after all this. I'm disappointed with Suddenlink's customer service and ability to keep commitments. This is my second issue with a failed commitment from their people and I'm greatly...
Read moreMy partner and I used this service, it was unreliable in every sense. The speeds were never consistent, they have outages regularly and there’s never a warning or any reach out for it. The website is always down. Can’t log in to view bill, or any information about your account. When we moved they told us a technician had to come out after they previously told us we could move the box over to the new apt and set it up ourselves. A technician came out to click a button and we got charged an installation fee, after we had already installed it ourselves. Not to mention when we moved they created a new account instead of transferring the same account to a new address. And when they made this new account they didn’t attach any of our personal info to it. We had no way to even call and ask for a bill. We couldn’t go online to pay, we couldn’t pay at the store and it took a very long 2+ hour phone call to get it sorted. And because their costumer service messed up our transfer during moves we were late to pay the bill and they made us pay the late fee. We physically couldn’t access the bill and we had to pay the fee. Their in person store is practically useless. Very nice people but you have to call to set up anything, call to set up auto pay, call to get bill info, call to cancel. And when we went to cancel they offered us an insane 50 dollar discount. That means they’ve been overcharging for this service. Even with the discounted price they were offering I proceeded to have to talk to 2 separate people to get our service canceled. Another hour and a half phone call. And one of the costumer service people was very rude in the way he insisted we stay with this company. Offered great deals yes. But the unreliability and headache they caused would never be worth any discount offered. Save yourself the head ache and use a different...
