The food was pretty ok. It was a bit salty, so lesser men may need to be careful. It did raise my blood pressure to 170/90, but the extra grease will keep the blood lubed in my veins, so all is well. My chief complaint is with the order taker voice on the other end of the booth. I waited my customary 20 minutes at the booth before ordering - with my glaucoma, it takes a while for my eyes to adjust, and that menu print is tiny! Anyway, I had rehearsed my order over and over in my head until it was just right, when this voice that sounded like cheerleader hopped up on meth and monster energy started yelling at me through the speaker - seriously, are the speakers set so you can order with your windows up or what? Nevertheless, I persisted and began to recite my order verbatim. "Number 1 with mayo, no onions" -- (FRIES OR TOTS?! the voice yelled) -- well everyone knows the drink order comes first, then the side. Besides, I wanted chili cheese fries, not just plain ol fries! We finally came to an agreement on the first part of my order and I started the second. "Number 8, LARGE with unsweet tea and tots" (LARGE POPCORN, MEDIUM TOT!! the voice screamed with even more vigor than the first time) What the fresh $#@&?! I just said LARGE. How does one get MEDIUM from LARGE? "No, large" I continued... (YOU WANT LARGE TOTS TOO?!) "Well, yes, naturally if I have a large popcorn chicken, I want tots sized to match" (OH OK THEN) I was so flabbergasted that I seriously considered backing out and moving to another stall to start this exchange over. Read moreI have always loved going to sonic, my whole life,but the last two times were horrible first to the last my chicken sandwich was not fully cooked, er should I say it was still icy cold in the middle, and the tater tots tasted as if they were freezer burned. The last visit the food was horrible! The onion rings looked as if they were fried in week old oil.Then my husband who will eat anything took one and ate it. I have never seen him spit something out until now, not only did he spit it out he was on the verge of puking in the stall the onion was rotten. We asked for the manager after we showed the car hop that the chicken strips were 4 minutes cooked too long we couldn't even bite thru them and the onion rings were rotten and she came back with our money as the manager walked right on by us and got in her car, and her ( the manager) appearance was horrible her hair was not brushed or even pulled back her shirt(not a sonic uniform or managers shirt but her name tag was on it) was filthy and her shoes and pants were just as bad. I mean idk what's going on at this sonic but it needs to be cleaned up and some better management and cooks. One thing good is the car hop was very nice and pleasant. But we will probably NEVER visit SONIC again my husband actually starts gagging Everytime...
Read moreI ordered door dash while at work, and waited over an hour. I contacted door dash and they stated that it was sonic where the issue was because my dasher was at sonic to pick the food up, so the order went through.
I tried to call sonic , and the phone line is disconnected. That is extremely frustrating, because this issue could have been simply resolved if the phones were working.
By the time the dasher contacted me and said sonic employee told her they did not get my order, sonic was getting ready to close, when I had ordered the food well over an hour ahead.
At this point, I was hungry, stuck at work and frustrated. I contacted door dash and they said they would cancel the order and refund me.
I went to sonic to speak to the manager, Megan. She raised her voice and got rude with me about it, when all I was asking was simply what happened to my order. She blamed door dash and was dismissive.
Honestly, it’s not the end of the world and I wasn’t even upset, just wanted to know what happened to my order , maybe the computer system was messed up, that’s besides the point. this establishment should reevaluate their management and how they speak to customers.
