Food Lion — Local services in Myrtle Beach

The manager was very nice but Nicole was NOT! Tried to tell me if I came back and they continued to have to put my ebt card in by hand they'd tell me I couldn't have my items. Uh hello if it's an option you're gonna do it! No reason I shouldn't be able to IF ITS AN OPTION! The bar on the back of my card is all scratched up and won't read if I slide it through so I have to type it in by hand. I've been doing this a year and going to this food lion for the same and have NEVER had an issue and have NEVER been told what she said to me.. She was a rude girl 👌

Went today and same thing. I'll take my business elsewhere and Nicole you seriously need to learn some mannors 👌 ZERO customer service! If it's an option on the computer to type my card in by hand why not do it? They have yet to give me that answer. "It's a new policy" okay but if you can enter a debit card and all others by hand and ITS AN OPTION TO TYPE IN EBT CARD NUMBERS BY HAND why not do it? My Id matches I have money on it but refuse to sell me my food for my kids. Okay...

I like this place.

I've been a customer of this Food Lion for some time, and it's offered a consistently good experience. There's a solid selection of food and drink; the store is clean, and logically arranged; the staff I've met have always been friendly and helpful. I like it's little markdown section in the back, too (never know what you might find). The only reason I give four stars instead of five is due to a somewhat small selection of organic foods, which is a big factor in determining where I personally shop (though, it should be said, the store does indeed stock several organics, just not as quite as many compared to other some supermarkets in the area). I've never had any problems at this Food Lion, and will likely return in the future.

After a confusing conversation about chicken (got to admit I was partly at fault) I was told that that chicken was in the oven. The lady I was talking to was very rude and had a tone. And not a good tone. I told her I would go get my other things and be back. When I came back I could hear them in the back talking about me and laughing. So when she come out I told her it was not nice to talk about customers. And she said you're right I shouldn't. But no apology. I finally got chicken but was not happy with it when I got home. The breasts were so small they look like thighs. And it was dry. I approached the manager before I left the store and told him I had had a bad experience in the deli. And explain to him what happened. He really didn't look very concerned. So I will probably never visit this...
