We recently purchased a home in South Carolina Myrtle Beach. I came across a Facebook ad for Seaboard bedding and some furniture that I really liked. I Reached out to Kevin via messenger asked him about the furniture that they have . Kevin replied within 10 minutes, answered all my questions and sent me four more photos of the bedroom set we were looking for. We decided to move forward with the purchase. We were in town the following week because we live out of state and we stopped by Seaboard Bedding Furniture and met with a few of the guys at the store. They were very nice and very helpful. We purchased another bedroom set as well as some more living room furniture. The prices are unbeatable. We did swing by another furniture store and hands-down Seaboard Bedding had the best pricing as well as quality furniture .Delivery was scheduled the the following week. One day before furniture was to be delivered. I received a call from Kevin saying that the headboard was damaged during the transport to their store and that he will provide us with a temporary bedframe and temporary boxspring for our mattress so we’re not sleeping on the floor. I really appreciated that he called us and offered that solution . Kevin called us a few days after that and said that the headboard actually came early and it could be delivered within the hour but we had already left for the week however we did have a lock box on the door and they were still able to deliver our headboard without us being there. Jason the guy who delivered the headboard called once they install the headboard to let us know that they felt without the boxspring the bed would be too low and asked us if we wanted to keep the boxspring and even facetimed us so we can see it for ourselves . I love that they called and gave us that option instead of just putting the furniture together and leaving. I appreciate that they went out of their way to deliver our headboard so quickly. My experience with Seaboard Bedding has been great and I will not shop anywhere else for future furniture purchases. I usually don’t write super long reviews but I was so impressed with the entire process I wanted to share what mostly stuck...
Read moreDo not shop at this store. They are very unprofessional and do not stand by the garbage furniture they sell. We purchased a sectional from Kevin in February. We had it delivered. We had to go out of town for a few weeks because my wife was having neck and spine surgery. We returned home and we noticed an odor illuminating from our brand new sofa. It was actually making everyone in our family feel nauseous. We tried wiping it off to no avail. After several calls to the store that were never returned we had to go down in person and spoke to Kevin again. We were told he had to speak to the owner and see what he could do, he gave my wife his cell phone number and said we could call or text him anytime. We never heard back from Kevin so my wife called his cell phone. He said to my wife hold on the manager is right here. Well he forgot to press the mute with my wife still on the phone and used every curse word you could think of to describe my wife. Very unprofessional. The manager apologized and said I am going to pick up your couch and give you a full refund. They sent the delivery people to our house we had my son wait for them because we were at the Emergency Room with my Mother in law who was in heart failure. When they arrived they called the store and who ever they spoke to said do not take that couch. They took photos and some how altered them to make it look like the couch was damaged. they accused us of putting holes in the couch. I have pictures to prove there is nothing wrong with this couch except for the Molded smell that illuminates from it. So they had no intention of ever returning our money. So now I am out $2100 and stuck with the sectional that smells Like a molded Basement. Buyers...
Read moreWe responded to an ad for end-of-summer polywood rockers for $199. We drove down from North Carolina to buy them. Once we arrived, there was only one rocker on the salesfloor. Our salesman, Kurt, told us they had sold all of the $199 rockers, including the one we could see on the floor. He told us he could order two $399 rockers and offered us a discounted price of $325. He said they would be delivered to our home in 2-4 weeks. We paid in full. Four weeks later, I called and asked about the rockers. The man who answered told me I needed to talk to Kurt and that he would call me back. When he didn't, I called the store and asked for a manager. Genevieve told me that she saw our order on the day we placed it and she knew it wouldn't come in 2-4 weeks. In fact, they hadn't even ordered it yet, four weeks after we placed the order. She said that Kurt is her "problem child" and that she often has to handle misunderstandings between him and customers. She said that she is the only girl on the team and she has to keep the boys in check. I find that to be incredibly unprofessional. But, here's my main issue, even if Kurt doesn't understand how the process works and he didn't know no one would order our furniture (??), Genevieve says she saw the problem that day. As the office manager, she could have called us herself, that day, to tell us that the chairs would not be ordered for who knows how long? In addition, she told me that the chair we saw that day was still on the floor. In fact, it is available for $199 according to Genevieve's current ad? Our money was refunded in full. We will not be returning to Seaboard Bedding...
