My husband surprised me with what should have been a relaxing 80-minute deep tissue massage. He also booked a treatment for himself, and while the spa had a calming ambiance when we first arrived—with soft music and pleasant aromatherapy scents—unfortunately, the experience fell short for both of us.
The waiting area was peaceful but lacked attention to detail. There was hot tea with honey but no spoon or stir stick, and a bowl of nuts with no sanitary way to serve yourself. Small oversights, but they added up.
In the treatment room, I asked for a tissue and was handed a rough paper towel—not exactly the spa experience you hope for. My massage therapist was friendly, but it was clear she didn’t understand what a deep tissue massage involves. She kept using hot stones (without asking), and the pressure was inconsistent and unfocused. There were a few pleasant moments, but overall it didn’t resemble a true deep tissue treatment.
Strangely, the music would cut out every so often for a few minutes—breaking the flow and making it hard to fully relax. The therapist also kept telling me to “relax” in a tone that sounded more annoyed than calming. At one point, she leaned so heavily on the headrest that her body weight caused actual pain to my face. When I told her it hurt, she abruptly turned me over—without finishing the back portion of the massage. The whole session ended more than 10 minutes early, which is frustrating considering we booked 80-minute treatments.
My husband’s massage wasn’t much better—he found it equally unimpressive and not at all what was expected.
All in all, this was a missed opportunity. The spa had potential, but the lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and uneven quality of service left us more tense than when we arrived.
We still chose to leave a 20% gratuity out of appreciation for the effort—but we left feeling disappointed, not rejuvenated. We have no intention of returning and, unfortunately, can’t recommend this spa based on...
Read moreI wasn’t as impressed as some of the reviews. There were little tweaks that could have made this place a lot better. First off the ambiance was very nice and it smelled great from incense. There were little sitting rooms all with like three nuts in snack dishes which made me question if the stuff gets refilled or is fresh since I got there at 9am. There was a lot of whispering at the front desk with staff which I found slightly unprofessional. I got into my room for my massage and Lana was lovely, I asked her to turn the music down as it was jarringly loud. Fifteen minutes into the massage I realized I was freezing and asked Lana if the table heat was on she apologized and turned it on. I always feel like when you have to ask for things before they are offered during spa services it takes away some of the relaxation. The massage was a 10 for sure. Then I had a body scrub that was ok. I asked for the Indian Head massage and it was like someone was rubbing my head with a feather, almost non existent and didn’t do much. I can’t pronounce that practitioners name but she was extremely personable and sweet. Here’s the biggest issue, I’m trying to pay and there is an employee speaking in another language to the receptionist at the front desk and it seemed like she was frustrated about something but I’m not sure. She couldn’t have told her to hold on?just not a five star professional environment to me :/ I paid the 600 dollars and then get out to my car and my partner asked how my birthday present was…apparently he called yesterday and gave his credit card. The front desk didn’t know that today and rang mine in. We are checking now to make sure we weren’t charged twice. Definitely not a relaxing experience over all. I can see that if you didn’t have these specific issues it could be a great place but I’m not sure I...
Read moreMy mom wanted three chairs so that me, my sister, and she could all get pedicures at the same time. When we called, the owner said they had three chairs and he was looking forward to it. The day before (when it was too late to cancel) he called to tell us that they didn’t have a third chair but he could put out a chair with a water bowl. My mom said that’s fine, because it was too late to find another place, but felt mislead. When we arrived we heard the owner shouting from the back about how this client insisted on having three people at the same time and that the technician wasn’t excited about it but we insisted.... well, we didn’t insist. We were mislead. And hearing that made us uncomfortable! He was clearly trying to not let his workers know that he’s the one that set the whole thing up. The owner did not wear a mask the entire time we were there which does not align with our COVID comfortability.
On a different note, the materials they used were completely unsanitary- the tools that are generally new or come from the sanitizer were instead sitting in a big bin, visibility dirty. The color selection was also poor with very few OPI options- feels as though they cut corners wherever possible similar to cleanliness and my paint job (photo attached).
I am giving this place one star because they set up a nice ambiance with calming music and a view to a pond in the back. The technicians were also nice and doing a good job under the...
