Taco Ardiente — Restaurant in Florida

Went here years ago, 2 different times. 1st time food was just ok(have had the best from N.Y.C.) took it as a fluke based on awesome reviews. Gave him a 2nd chance and went back and ordered chicken tacos. Took one bite and knew something was off. I work in pro kitchens and pretty sure the chicken was spoiled, even had an almost metallic after taste. Brought it to the counter and calmly explained it and he said ok. Didn't inspect it or anything. So I started ordering something else on the menu and he gives me a new price total. I'd already paid for the 1st which was bad food. Thought I was throwing him a bone letting him know the food was spoiled. I was shocked and he proceeds to tell me it's not his problem I didn't like his food. That would be different but it was bad, like dangerous bad because it's chicken. No apologies, nothing and proceeds to throw it away and ask if I still want the new order of food. I had ordered 14 tacos for the office on lunch break. Upon arriving back at the office, x4 steak tacos modified without onions came with onions. x2 chicken tacos were missing. I called back and a different person answered the phone. Jennifer told me I had ordered incorrectly, and that they didn't short the order x2 chicken tacos. She then queried if I had called to just leave a complaint or whether or not I wanted to return to the store to grab the missing food. I explained I wouldn't have time to drive back during my lunch break and I'd be interested in a refund for the missing food. Why pay for something we didn't recieve. I was told that we would have to return to the store to recieve the refund, it couldn't be managed over the phone. Save your sanity, these folks don't do good business. This place is the reason I love Mexican food. It's amazing that they can make a simple taco be one of the most amazing things you have ever put in your mouth. The homemade hot sauces are better than any I've tried and are a staple for my meal here, and I sneak a few home for cooking! The staff are exceptionally nice. They remember you and greet you like an old friend. I love that in this small taco place - you see everyone, young and old, professionals, laborers, beach goers alike. ...
