I come to this store often and I love how friendly and clean it is. Today, I had come across a recipe for spinach stuffed salmon. I had everything but the salmon. I went to Aldi's and purchased a family sized salmon fillet. Once I returned home I noticed that the plastic covering of the salmon have been pierced so the juice was running out of it. I called what I thought was the direct line to the store but was informed by the automated response that they do not have traditional customer service booths within the store due to their focus of low cost to the customers. That made sense to me so I went to the store in person, stood in line and informed them that I wanted to exchange the salmon due to the packaging malfunction. I was told that would not be a problem and I picked up a replacement salmon fillet. I returned to the same cashier and was asked if I wanted it in cash or my card... I was slightly confused. I asked if they wanted to put the money back on my card and then pay for the new salmon. I was told that would not be necessary because they have a 'double guarantee': you exchange the product AND you receive a FULL refund for your trouble. I was pleasantly surprised! If a cashier is able to handle customer service situations so well there's obviously no need to have an entire booth dedicated when they are so capable! I get it Aldi's! I love it...
Read moreOh my how I love shopping at Aldi!!! Being that my Mom is German, it was so nice shopping here with such a variety of foods that we actually had when visiting Germany. My Mom is an avid German cook and was thrilled with all the things I brought her back from my vacation. They also have food from other Country's as well. It's a very clean store, but just a note I had to learn...take change with you, if you need to use a shopping cart. It costs $.25 cents for a shopping cart. Also, bring your own bags to put your groceries in, or you can purchase bags at the register. You do get your quarter back once you put your shopping cart back where it goes, but make sure it locks into another cart. I wish we had an Aldi here Alabama. I will definately be back when visiting my...
Read moreI have been a customer at Aldi in Madison over 20 years. After finishing my order the employee said what the total was ( I was paying cash). I couldn't hear him and looked to see the total on the register. There was nothing there. I said I am used to seeing the total on the register because that helps me know what to pay. He repeated the total and I still did not understand him. I told him some people have hearing problems and it helps to put the total on the register. He then put it on the register screen and I paid him. He had been rushing me while I was getting the money out of my wallet. He was rude and needs to be educated on customer relations. He was on the 1st register close to the office. He had dark hair and skin, possibly Latino. It was...
