Madison Town Center — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

I have lived very close to this place since 1997 and go there probably more than anyone else. I can say that this place has some pretty good places - Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Aldi, Hibachis, Sonys, but that's about it. Pretty clean places, usually in stock also. They also have a Billards Club and a college / trade school. I am sad to see all the places that are broken down. For example, the clothing store Jano's has been closed for about 8 years, it looks really bad abandoned like that. Also, not the best environment at night time, there are a lot of people you need to watch out for around this area at night if you go with your children, the people can get kind of loud and rowdy sometimes. Another thing, they have a new plasma place, and it brings in shady people sometimes.

I have seen some places come and go pretty quickly, like Sticks N Stuff (I think they're going out of business if they haven't already), I think Goodwill was there several years ago, also some guitar place. All I can say is, this place has potential to be more than it is, not saying it doesn't have some good stores. Maybe somebody in charge should think about actually putting something in place of the broken down stores. Like where Jano's has been sitting desolate, maybe put something like a Big Lots (since the other one nearby in Madison re-located to Goodlettsville) or Plato's Closet or something the general audience likes to go to (please not a cell phone store) there. Maybe put a Goodwill like there used to be. Also, a concrete / asphalt construction job is much needed, it makes the place look very dingy. Also, they have a carnival usually every spring it was pretty good when I went (though the rides had to be repaired a few times, still fun though). Anyway, not the best environment from time to time but nonetheless overall good place, good workers, me and my family have shopped there lots of time and got plenty of good deals. Madison Cafe needs to clean, clean, clean.... Must I say more and the same thing goes with the new restaurant next to grocery shop in shopping center serving meat and three. Nasty floors.
