Live in a neighborhood by here and been shopping here since it opened. It is convenient and usually pretty good. I am in here multiple times a week. But after today, sorry to say that I am DONE!!! Have had a couple bad experiences over last few months. But today was the breaking point. Went in to get a birthday cake, among other items. So went over to the bakery and chose a big cake. Then waited to have âHappy Birthday {insert name}â written on it. There was a young woman working in deli right by me. Stood there a few minutes and there is no way she did not see me. Finally had to ask for her help. She rudely told me they do not do that (Lie!) Then another young woman came in and she asked her. She was even ruder, saying absolutely not. I could see the icing bags right there and would have taken maybe 90 seconds to do. Heck, I would have done it myself if they would have let me. Understand it is Easter but their responses were so beyond rude and unprofessional. And I was very polite. No excuse for that!! And that 2nd woman has caused me concern a few times already. She uses the foulest language right in front of customers. One time she was going off about some customer to another employee. And another time she was on her cell phone, while working, and having a cursing fight with whoever she was talking to. She drops F Bombs as casual as breathing. And another time, I tried ordering a couple pounds of meats. And she screamed âWE ARE CLOSED!!!â It was 15 minutes before deli closes. I know when they close. The blonde lady, who usually runs the bakery/deli is great! But not sure where she has been lately. These new employees (especially the one) are awful!!! Mentioned the rude behavior to another employee. And did not see the manager to tell him. But definitely wanted to. This is not how you are ever treated at Publix. So after many years, I am gonna definitely start driving further to go there. Not worth the convenience of being close to neighborhood to get screamed at and treated like I am nothing. Also posted on social media and many others have had similar experiences at deli/bakery lately. Things have changed for the worse. I feed a large family. And would rather spend my money where I am appreciated. Wouldnât have bought the cake today if I had not been short on time. Didnât know I would be seeing this person til today for his 18th birthday. But today...
Read moreWe was from out of town, shopping @ Opry Mills & also wanted to see the lights..then I remembered I needed a few things @ the grocery store..it wouldn't have taken me 5 minutes. I arrived there @ 6:35 & a manager, who has NO customer skills, who shouldn't even be a manager to begin with, refused service to me & several others. I have a big family & my bad for forgetting a few things. Very unprofessional to refuse service to customers 25 minutes before closing time. If it wasn't for customers, these workers wouldn't have a job!! Thankfully a lady told me there was a Publix down the road. I arrived 10 minutes before closing time & everyone there was extremely friendly! They even allowed me to run grab something I forgot while checking out! Maybe this Foodlion can take customer service skills from Publix & how to treat others!! 5 star service @ Publix..0 stars for Foodlion for treating customers (who pay their wages) the way they did..hopefully the general manager will teach the importance of the customer is first! If you didn't want to work on Christmas Eve, you...
Read moreI was in food lion just a few minutes ago, just before 3pm. I went to check out and Iâm standing in line as someone pays at checkout. I go to put my items on the belt, she flips her light off and literally throws her hand up at me and says âIâm closedâ and she left. I felt so dismissed. It was disgusting. I then went over to the 12 items or less lane where a lovely and kind customer allowed me to get in front of her because I only had 3 items. The cashier at this register asks me to move up so that the person behind me can put their things on the belt. Keep in mind that the person in front of me is still checking out. So there are 3 of us within 10 feet of each otherâŚ+ the cashierâŚI guess letâs just forget abt Covid-19. I was masked and was clearly following Covid guidelinesâŚand in scrubs as Iâm a nurse. Once we were checked out I told her that I didnât need a bag and she says âoh well I already put it in there, makes it easier to get in and outâ. Iâve never been to a grocery store where the employees are so rude and dismissive. Never again. Customer...
