I really want to love this place but the service makes it really hard. As a retired NYC chef I can confidently say that as far as Americanized Chinese food goes, the food at this place is on point and right up there with the best of them. That’s a compliment but it’s as far as it goes. I would really love to make this my go to location but I can’t quite do that and am going to keep looking. Tonight was my fifth time there and 3/5 times my food has been horribly late. I assume that it’s a husband and wife team that runs the place and if she’s there the business runs smoothly but with out her the guy is simply not capable of running expo. his cooks are pumping out food and he’s not able to keep up. As a customer it’s absolutely infuriating to see your food on the counter getting cold as he works on a delivery order for a driver that’s not even there yet. You can not look your customers in the eyes four or five times without even acknowledging their existence! This business can not excel in its current state which is a shame because the food is great. Read moreI ordered a bean curd yesterday to go, (a dish I order very often from various Chinese restaurants). I asked the person on the phone if I could get the dish cooked somewhat soft, or softer than normal. He seemed to have understood, and asked some details about the way I wanted it to cooked, then said “OK no problem”.
It can be hard to get this dish exactly to my liking so I’m OK with some variations. I have never written a negative review because something wasn’t exactly right. This case was just extreme so I feel obligated to warn others.
Opened the dish after I left, the bean curd was extremely hard and crusty, it did not even appear to be fresh bean curd!
I actually had to throw the item out altogether.
The rest of the food it was OK—this was a waste of time and money. I didn’t think I would get a refund or replacement order so I let it go.

Read moreOkay, here’s the truth. I’ve been going here for many years. We love the food here and it is amazing and affordable. HOWEVER, the new lady is so rude and forgot to even place my order here. I asked kindly why she didn’t and she started to argue with me and get an attitude. I was so mad but I told here that you would lose a customer that has been coming for years before you even started working here and she didn’t care. Then I talked to the store manager/owner about it and he apologized and agreed that he would fire her if anything else happened. Since then, she’s been a different person and is more quiet.
