Disappointed today. I visited the store today between 8-8:30pm. I do like this store. But today I had an experience that left me feeling insulted. I was there with my adult nephew and friends, looking for a suit for my nephew for a special upcoming event. I was carrying around a suit off the rack in the color that we liked, but the suite was the wrong size all together, way too small. I was just holding on to it as a color and brand reference. My nephew found a different one, not quite like what we were hoping for, but close. He tried the jacket on. While he was trying it on, I noticed single vests on a rack...the one he was trying on had no vest, unlike the smaller 3 piece suit that I had on my hands. The size and color of the single vest was not right, so I returned it to the rack. Meanwhile, the jacket that he had been trying on was not the right size, a tad small, so I put the 3 piece reference suite that I had been holding on to, down on a table there, and I started to fix the pants of the 2 piece suit that was still on the hanger because the pants were falling off the hanger, before hanging the jacket back on, when suddenly an employee yelled from across : you can't do that, you can't change one part with another. The thought had not even crossed my mind, but I understand what he was implying. After telling him that that is not what we were doing at all...he said that people do do that all the time...change one part from one suite to another, and try to buy as a set. While I understand that is something that may happen, what bothered me was the accusatory tone, not once, but for a second time, after I told him that that's not what I was doing, I would never do that. I found the repeated accusatory tone very disrespectful and insulting. One must be very careful before accussing others of wrong doing. In this case, I was just trying to do the decent thing of properly hanging the 2 piece suit back in place rather than just let the pants fall on the floor. The reason I have explained everything that I was doing when he yelled at us, is that I guess I can somewhat understand why he could have thought that that was what we were doing ...but he got it completely wrong. He was apparently helping other customers when he stopped to yell at us, and accuse us of something that had not even crossed my mind for a single second. I may be rambling on now, but it does hurt to be wrongly accused and treated rudely...and to be continued to be accused even after explaining that he had it wrong. I did not yell back, nor raise my voice. I did ask him if they would by chance happen to have that other first 3 piece suit in a much bigger size, but I felt so insulted that I soon felt that even if they did happen to have the suit...I no longer wanted anything from there. I just put everything back and walked away. ..despite still needing to find a shirt.
One must be very careful to be quick to judge, it can result in false accusations, such as it happened to me. Instead of yelling across an isle in front of other customers, wrongfully acussing and humiliating innocent customers, if he felt so strongly that an issue needed to be addressed, could he have excused himself for a moment from the customers he was helping, and come over and ask if we needed any help? If he had done this, he would have quickly noticed that his assumptions were wrong. (The 2 suits were different brands, colors, and way different in sizes). I left the store feeling upset, hurt and so...
Read moreZERO STARS... I will never spend another $ at this store again, one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. Salesman, Lamont Lester refused to help us find the mismatched pants of a suit that I was wanting to purchase. I asked him directly for help locating the correct pants, and was told it would take too long to search the racks, and that I should come back in a few days to see if they found the correct size pants that matched the suit jacket. When I asked him if I could leave my number to contact me when the pants were found, he said we don't do that, you will just need to come back to see if the pants were found. He basically refused to help us, he was unfriendly and very short with us, and then walked away to continue stocking shelves while helping others. He watched us search every size suit of that brand on every suit rack ourselves trying to find the matching pants. He never came back over to help us in our search. It took us approximately 25 minutes to search every rack for the mismatched pants, we were unsuccessful in finding the matching pants. The store refused to sell us the suit because the pants size didn't match the jacket size. The cashier took the suit from us, she told us it had to be returned to the manufacturer, and left us standing dazed and confused. We were stunned, no apology, no offer to help, nothing.
This was my second bad experience in a row at this store, I chalked the first experience up as the staff was having a bad day, but to experience the same issues again on my second visit sealed the deal that I will never shop at this store again! The last two times I was in this store we were not treated the same as other customers who were the same ethnicity as the staff, it was very obvious and you could feel it. We had to ask for assistance, while others of the same ethnicity were being approached and spoken to by the staff. When we asked salesman Lamont Lester for assistance, he was very unfriendly and short with us, he basically refused to do his job. There are serious problems at this store, the management and staff at this store should be investigated. The management and staff have no customer service skills whatsoever. My money goes elsewhere, never again with this store, you lost me...
Read moreToday, I visited the K@g clothing store at 719 Thomson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee, around 3:30 PM. Unfortunately, this was my second time experiencing poor treatment at this location.
When I entered, no one greeted me, which made me feel unwelcome. I was trying to return a shirt that was in perfect condition. The woman at the front desk, whose name I unfortunately forgot, informed me that I could exchange it for another item. I had no problem with this and found a pair of pants to exchange. However, the pants didn't have a price tag, and we had to wait nearly 15 minutes for a price check.
The person called to assist was a man named Robert, who appeared to be a manager. He was very short and, unfortunately, quite rude. He accused my child of removing the tags from the pants, which was not true, and spoke to my child in a very disrespectful manner. My child was very upset by this, and I only found out what was said when we got to the car.
This is not the first time I've experienced or heard of rude treatment from this store's staff, particularly Robert. It seems like some of the older employees might benefit from additional training in customer service. Younger staff might bring a more welcoming atmosphere.
As a frequent customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. If the staff is unable to provide that, perhaps they should reconsider their roles. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and lead to improvements in the service at this store. Thank you for your attention to this matter I hope this conveys your concerns in a more constructive and...
