On August 19, 2025, we had an eventful experience with the delivery and customer service from Pottery Barn. We purchased a large item from the Antioch location. The store charges a fee for delivery and works through a third-party service, Dolly. The delivery fee was paid through Pottery Barn at checkout along with their coordination. When the delivery personnel arrived, they had a standard truck and a second car. They used a standard trailer without protection from wind, rain, etc. They did not arrive in professional attire. My wife is at home with several kids as I work in a local office. My wife felt something was off when they arrived. After the item was inside the house. The two delivery representatives Pottery Barn had a significant argument. They were in our driveway for several minutes and caused a scene where several neighbors came over to evaluate the situation. I have Ring camera footage of the two delivery representatives arguing. My children witnessed this from the upstairs window. This terrified my wife and family. This lasted several minutes. The two left in different cars/trucks after neighbors came over. I watched the Ring video and directly called the Pottery Barn store where the item was purchased. The manager of Pottery Barn said they the delivery is not their responsibility and we need to work directly with the delivery service. Then called the delivery service and they would only escalate to their internal team. I could not express enough that this is a complete safety issue for me and my family. This morning 8/20 I call the Pottery Barn corporate number to continue the discussion. The Corporate Pottery Barn said they will not take action since the outlet is separate. As a customer, I do not agree. I went to Pottery Barn and purchased through Pottery Barn. I’m still waiting on the Dolly delivery service to follow up.
This experience and lack of support if highly concerning. My wife is still terrified, and the kids are emotional.
As of 10/29
I have not received a formal follow up and the issue was...
Read moreWe have been searching for particular pieces of furniture and have visited a few times over the last few months. Love that each item is 40 % off the ticketed price ( sometimes even more deeply discounted) . Yes some are damaged but sometimes there are really great finds. Last visit was a great experience thanks to Jackie, who assisted on a sought-after finish on this dining table. We hate to be those annoying customers but we literally came in 20 minutes before closing thinking we will not find anything. Well we did and we thought we would be told they would hold it till the next day but Jackie helped in every way possible to facilitate our purchase and delivery arrangement ! We also did not feel rushed, she took her time explaining how the table extensions work and overall extremely knowledgeable of their inventories. What a complete joy to see one do their work with genuine care and professionalism. I hope Pottery Barn Outlet recognizes Jackie for her extraordinary customer service and her excellent representation of the company. Looking forward to...
Read moreGreat place to shop after my apartment flooded with sewage and I needed to replace items quickly! The staff and manager were pleasant to my mom and I as we spent several hours here shopping and waiting for someone to come pick up the furniture I bought.
Please do not listen to the low rating reviews. People need to understand that this is an outlet store. Outlets sell items that are no longer in the regular stores or items that had been returned due to a defect. SALES ARE FINAL and the store makes that very clear. Look at items carefully before you buy. Prices are a great deal considering this stuff is Pottery Barn and West Elm, both high quality brands of furniture that will last years.
I’ll be shopping...
