Rivergate Square — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

I want to highlight one of their employees named “Kevin.” I had went to 5 other HD stores looking for a Dewalt Cordless 1/2” drive ratchet. All the stores showed that they had them available, but I couldn’t get one store…nor one employee to truly look for what they showed they had in stock…until, I got to Madison HD and met Kevin. He searched the other stores, made calls and finally found me one. It took him a week to get this done. Today, he called me and told me that it would ship to my home via UPS. If every store had a “Kevin” like the one at Madison, they could operate on 50 percent less employees. He is the “real deal” when it comes to customer service. Whoever takes the time to read this and is in need of something from the Madison HD store, look for Kevin…he is a world-class person and employee. Review is for Christmas "parade" if you can call it that. It was the length of the front of the building by the food court entrance. There was a high school marching band, about the only good thing of this parade. Dancers were not dancing just walking. The Grinch was a treat, very animated and comical. A bunch of big trucks with lights went through throwing out some candy. There were older boys dressed in hoodies in the parade not sure if they were boys scouts or why they were in the parade, well they were throwing candy at kids, literally throwing straight at their heads and laughing when they hit a child in the face with a piece. On my last visit to this store it was after Halloween and they were clearing out Halloween and fall decor. I picked up a couple rugs out of the clearance section. When I got to the register they rang up regular price. I told the cashier where the display was and that it had a 50% off sign on the front. She called for a manager and told her what I said. She went over, took down the sign, moved the display and then returned and told me it was not supposed to be there and wasn't part of the clearance items. She then walked away.
