I hate that I feel that I need to go in and change my review. I have never had a problem till today and have always enjoyed shopping here. My problem started when they only have one register open that is able to process returns and the return line was a killer for Thursday evening. I ask the assistant manager if another register could be opened for returns. I was coldly answered "no we can only use that one". The lady running the register did a very good job considering how busy she was and she had great customer service. After I finished my return i shopped a bit and found fantastic Christmas decorations for my mantel. I didn't realize until I was checking out that one of the snowman I picked up had a hole in it and his tinsel was falling off. I ask if I could have him for a discount and was told 60% off. All Christmas decorations are already 50% off so I came back with i will take him for 70% off. I was told no by same assistant manager and was told "someone will buy him...
Read moreWe're coming at 8:01. One minute after close and we get kicked out by the manager. We've been coming here ever since we moved to Madison a few months ago but we will not be back. The last few times my wife and I have had interactions with the manager, he's been rude, disconnected, and uninterested in us. This last time, he corrals us out of the door as we walk in and simply says "we closed at 8." I''m a manager myself in the customer service industry. You can have your close times, I understand getting people out early to get home to our families. I'm all for it. But when you have customers that walk in literally one minute after posted close times, at least offer help or an invitation to return. We just wanted material for a sowing machine. Read moreOnly one register consistently checking out customers. However, there were two able bodies present that could have been checking customers out. 5 plus ppl in line. Bald-headed man, guessing is a manager of the store was just walking around acting busy. He finally selected a man in the middle of the line (not the next in line) to come to his register for check-out. After he rung up one customer, walked around again for about 5 minutes prior to calling the actual next person in line for check out. The second person should have actually been first. Guessing, he is a sexist. Intresting check-out process with the one cashier that's consistently ringing up cutomers. Cashier doesn't greet or thank customers for waiting / shopping here.
