This target isn't as good as the one on nearby cool Springs boulevard (10 minutes driving distance,) but it is a decent option in our neighborhood, for an alternative to the other major superstore (Walmart) if you're shopping for something other than groceries. Most will agree Target has higher prices than Walmart, and less selection overall, but a more innovative and Interesting selection of products, when it comes to the clothing, toys, seasonal, dollar bin, and beauty sections in particular... Those are the things I buy here. They have a Starbucks in store. It's just over the line into Williamson county,so unlike Davidson county, no wine or Cigarettes sold here, or lotto. Fun fact: this used to be a normal Target, then they expanded a few years ago, adding the grocery section, so the store now actually physically straddles the county line. Things I love in no particular order: constantly revolving selection of trendy and cool clothes/shoes/accessories for cheap; bleeding edge beauty brands including top Korean skincare care that's otherwise hard to find outside Sephora or Amazon;many price checker machines throughout the store; genuinely appealing housewares and home goods;agood pharmacy though the workers there are a bit surly; an icee machine; huge child friendly carts with room for two kids plus the normal cart area;cup holders in the carts; well organized clearance; great random mobile coupon codes that don't require sign up or download of anything; easy on returns, even worn clothing, plus hassle free price adjustment; online pickup is fast and efficient; great selection for value on areas like elementary school uniforms, Halloween costumes, novelty toys; helpful employees but not to the point of intrusive; self checkout that's not too complicated or fussy for a college graduate to use; easy parking; neat and well laid out and designed store. The food is overpriced for the most part, but their store brand occasionally yields value deals. The other, bigger nearby Target in cool Springs has better selection overall, but this location is more convenient for me. I always end up lingering in here too long and buying a few items I really didn't need to purchase but couldn't resist anyway... Their buyers must be really on point with trends and merchandise analytics... Makes Walmart seem dated and boring especially the apparel, jewelry, shoes etc. Even the Children's clothing...
Read moreTarget is Target. If there's one thing that Target does better than most of its competitors, it's consistency. Once you're in the door you pretty well know where everything is going to be because it's in the exact same location as the other Target you were in last week (unless the store is flip, in which case just switch 180°). Other general merchandise chains (you know which one I'm referring to, that's blue and has a yellow sunburst in its logo) there are can be innumerable difference from one store to the next, even in stores in the same town.
Target also excels in cleanliness. I've never seen a Target that wasn't clean and well organized. The clothing return section can get a bit crowded, but it's not unsightly because you know it's a work in progress.
Target has a great selection of merchandise from not only the national brands, but from their own lines as well. I was glad when they started their grocery section because it offered more of a one-stop-shop opportunity. I could never shop at Target for my main grocery shopping because its offering fall short of a typical "Let's shop for the family for a week" retailer, but if need a quick item or two and don't want to stop somewhere else on the way home, they'll probably be able to accomodate. Target does lack a good variety of International foods.
Target pricing is very competitive and sometimes comes in under other retailers. They do offer a pretty good rewards program, but it's not too straight-forward and for some reason you HAVE to use their app to claim it. Not the user-friendliest in the world, but...
Read moreTarget has variety and great store employees. Prices are not always as good as Walmart though but sometimes we do not have time to price shop. I also think 5% red card savings is old and need to update their incentives. I also have no idea what cartwheel or whatever it's called is but would love to see incentives similar to Kohl's program. I would shop more at Target if it was the case. Although overall employees are great, sometimes customer service can be more attentive to their customers waiting. Instead of saying "Be right with you" and continue sorting return items into carts...stop what you're doing and attend to customer. Customers should always be first priority, no one likes to wait...we get it, you have a job to do too...but we're paying your salary. Overall, Target is my go to for school/work supplies, holiday shopping (love their separated section), kids gifts or party goods. First time I ordered online and picked up at the store (Brentwood TN location) and a great experience...so easy! Thank you...
