My experience with Michael at EuroDesign began in 1999, when I brought in my engagement ring to be sized. It was a hand-carved ring with engraving all around the band and I didn't want to lose any of the detail. A colleague recommended Michael and so I headed over to see him. I was (young) and nervous to leave my (still uninsured) ring in the care of a stranger. Michael reassured me and brought me into the back where he removed my diamond from the setting right in front of me. He gave it to me to bring home and said he would reset it in front of me when my ring was ready. I knew then and there that he was a reputable businessman.
Less than a year later, I was having a very difficult time finding a wedding band to go with my engagement ring. I returned to Michael, hoping he could advise me on something that would complement my unique ring. Within minutes of arriving, we started talking about him creating a custom piece for me. He sketched a drawing of the proposed design on a Post-It note, and it looked like a work of art. I knew right away that Michael had to make the band. It was the perfect fit and Michael's attention to detail has caused many people to remark on my beautiful rings.
Fast forward to July 2015. After 15 years of marriage, I was feeling like I wanted a little upgrade to my engagement ring. I consulted with a different jeweler in the area and red flags popped up ALL over the place. It was exceptionally important to both my husband and myself that the original design and character of my very special ring be preserved. I wanted to add a halo around the center stone of my engagement ring and this jeweler started saying things like, "I THINK it could be done, but I won't really KNOW until I open it up". Yikes! That was a risk I wasn't willing to take. They also said they would have to cut out the center portion of my setting and that I would lose some of the details that made my ring so unique. This jeweler said they would contact the company that they "get the halos from" and get back to me with an estimate. The phone never rang.
I knew that, if there was ONE person who could make my vision a reality, it was MICHAEL. So I returned to EuroDesign and explained to Michael exactly what it was that I wanted. He listened carefully and presented me with a couple of different options, emphasizing that NONE of the original detail of my ring would be lost in the process. Because Michael does all of the work himself and because he CREATED my halo, he was confident that he could make these assurances to me. He also was able to quote me a price on the spot, which I believe was very competitive and maybe even a bargain, given that I would have paid as much for a lesser quality of design and service elsewhere. My decision was made. A few days later, Michael contacted me and asked if I wanted to come in and "approve" the work before he continued, but I told him that I trusted him completely.
A week and a half later, I returned to the store for the big reveal. Michael's master workmanship surpassed any of my expectations. The character of my original ring remains completely intact and my rings fit together seamlessly. I am in LOVE with my ring and can not recommend Michael and EuroDesign Jewelers highly enough. He is truly a master craftsman and his custom work is of the highest caliber. Once you work with him, you will become a loyal follower and know that going anywhere else will simply...

Diamond selection: I recently decided it was time to pop the question. I knew i wanted it to be a complete surprise. To do so, I solicited minimal input from my girlfriend so she wouldn't know I was searching. The only problem was I know nothing about engagement rings. I was recommended Euro Design by a friend's mom. During my first appointment, Bella got an idea of my price range for a diamond. Then she spent over an hour explaining how the diamonds are priced and we settled on general diamond characteristics. She is extremely knowledgable. Within 24 hours, Bella had several diamonds to show me, from my high end price range to my low end. The best part of this process was Bella is low pressure and extremely honest with her opinion. At no point did I feel like I was being upsold or pressured to buy the most expensive diamond. In fact, Bella and I settled on when of the least expensive diamonds, which she stressed was an incredible deal for the price (looking at diamonds of the same characteristics online, I appear to have gotten an incredible deal on my diamond). Beyond being extremely satisfied with my diamond, I really appreciated how detail oriented Bella was in helping me find the perfect diamond.
Custom Band: After securing a diamond, I started creating my custom engagement band. I was amazed with Bella and Michael's ability to take the characteristics I wanted in my band and design something truly unique. We went through several drawings and wax rings prior to settling on a final custom band for Michael to create. They both wanted it to be perfect for me. I could not be happier with the final result.
Most importantly, she said "yes" and she loves the ring!
In summary, this is exactly the experience I was looking for as someone with little experience in buying expensive jewelry, but knowing I wanted to keep it a surprise and find something unique. This store exemplifies the reason you go to a custom jeweler. Michael and Bella helped me create something unique and something I was extremely proud to give...
Read moreIt is with utmost pleasure that I recommend and write about my first experience working with Isabella and Michael.
I’m a customer who prefers choosing and procuring loose gemstones myself. This is because ethical sourcing is important to me so I tend to purchase gemstones with a transparent history, i.e., from sellers who mine and facet the stones themselves, or faceters who get the stones directly from hobbyist miners or rockhounders as they sometimes are called. After purchasing a few loose stones, I came to realize that most jewelers are reluctant to set stones unless you also have purchased the stones from them. I was delighted when I found Isabella and Michael, who accept loose stones brought in by customers with no reservations. After making inquiry electronically, I visited their store and brought with me a beautiful Russian demantoid garnet (very timely for January!) that I had purchased online.
The consultation went smoothly and soon enough, we settled on the ring design, delivery time and cost. I really appreciated Isabella being a fine balance between listening to what I like, spending the time to get to know the customer’s fashion sense and personality, and also confidently making suggestions, such as making the prongs in yellow gold to accentuate the center stone’s green and brilliance.
The ring was finished in a week as promised. It is stunning, much more so in person! The pricing was also very reasonable. Above all, I simply enjoy working with people who are honest, straightforward, who deliver and who possess a can-do attitude. So glad to have found a local jeweler...
