Read moreThis review is not for Natick Mall in its entirety. This review is for SBARRO. The general manager, YVETTE (picture), allowed a fellow Brazilian lady (natick mall worker) to skip my son and me (we're Black American) in the line. The Brazilian woman walked up, rushing my son and me to order. I told her she needed to wait; the person before me wasn't done with her order. I assume she was in a rush to return to her shift. YVETTE waved for the Brazilian woman to skip us. When I approached YVETTE to pay for my order. I told her what she did was very wrong- allowing another Brazilian, just like her, to skip non-Brazilians in line. Initially, YVETTE tried to ignore what I was saying. Then she proceeded by raising her voice at me, “Pay for your food now”, “You're racist”, “That's a problem for you”. When I asked her how am I racist when I am simply bringing light to you allowing another Brazilian to skip me in line is not fair, and was a form of racial microaggression because I am not Brazilian. When I asked YVETTE for her name she told me no and to get away, and went to the back of the restaurant. While at the back of the store, she called mall security (another Brazilian young girl lol). Although, I told my side of the story to the mall security. As the two of them went over the encounter in PORTUGUESE in front of me, because YVETTE claims she doesn't speak good English. YVETTE clearly lied to the mall security and said there was a MISCOMMUNICATION. What a LIAR! YVETTE knows exactly what she did. All she had to do was just admit her wrong, but instead she lied once she was called out on her microaggression. And guess what?! As I disengaged from the ordeal at 7:47pm, the mall security told me not to come back to the Sbarro tonight. Where a bystander jumped in and said, “That's not fair she (me) did nothing wrong”. When I told the mall security to let YVETTE know she shouldn't treat certain customers that way. The mall security told me, it's a miscommunication!...clearly siding with YVETTE I said so that's what we're calling racial microaggression- “MISCOMMUNICATION” What a joke!!! I don't know who was worse lol..the ignorant mall security or the racist general...
Read moreThe Natick Mall has evolved in big ways over the years. When malls were dwindling, this Natick location doubled-down and conducted a finishes renovation of the main mall. They similarly constructed the Natick Collection of high-end stores and notable architecture with waves & smooth lines that contrast against hard geometric shapes in one excellent amalgamation of architectural art and building construction. The primary parking deck by the food court was renovated to add an advanced parking space count system, and solar charging panels on the top floor that also act as car shade covers to reduce summer heat in vehicles that then require more A/C. Electric charging was also an add. Wegman's invested heavily in what could best be described as a grocery shopping experience, than a quick grab&go store. This is a great grocery store to visit while in the mall, or for their huge prepared foods selection. Prices are competitive for weekly shopping but I still think Seabra Foods or another nearby store is better for quick grabs at good prices. This Mall's bathrooms are all well built and very clean. I believe this mall has received awards for the bathrooms oddly enough. Finally, Level 99, Dave & Buster's and a combination of IG-haven locations like Starbucks, Kung Fu Tea, Gong Cha, Auntie Anne's, and others, totally transform the mall game in the modern American culture. People of all different ages and backgrounds convene for arcade games, sporting events and food at D&Bs, while others test their mental and physical toughness in the challenge rooms at Level 99. Both are unique and fun experience. Because both locations are open late with one active mall entrance, they also give a new life to the mall's appearance as a place where wonky daytime shopping is completed and then the entire property becomes dormant and lifeless for hours until the next day. I encourage anyone nearby to visit this mall. I'm not a mall expert but I've visited enough to say this one is doing...
