I have been going to this restaurant for years. Every time I go the food is amazing and I always enjoy it. But today on st. Patrick’s Day I can say it was not the experience I normally get. 1st the waitress behind the counter, right when you walk in at the deli, asked us to wait OK fine no problem then she proceeded to yell to the bus boy, who is very nice and he came to see us, then we sat there. I had to ask the bussboy, if he would be kind and take our drink order because the person who was supposed to wait on us just ignored the fact that we were even sitting there. The busboy kindly took our drink order and then brought us our drinks, 15 minutes later, the waitress finally showed up after I have seen her Wait no other tables, Not take anybody else’s orders because all everybody else already had their food she just blatantly ignored the fact that we were sitting there. She comes over and apologizes because it’s just so busy and she’s the only one there the only person that I saw doing anything was the busboy. We left without having anything to eat. I gave the busboy $3.00 and thanked him for being so nice. And when I did that the waitress proceeded to keep talking and telling me how she’s the only one there and that is his job to try to assist her. Well, in my opinion, his job is to help you by busing tables, helping you run food and do other duties. But not to do your job for you, and not to be Bossed around by you. So with that said I will go back and try to have a good experience again it just might take some time for this to happen. I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 20 years and nothing makes me more mad then seeing someone treat a busboy or a customer the way I...

Today has been my first time going to this restaurant in a couple of years. I don't know what has happened but saying the food has gone downhill might be giving them an upgrade. The chopped liver is a dark brown like dark dark brown I've never seen chopped liver this color before. Definitely not a Jewish recipe. The saltiest on tasting chopped liver I have ever tried in my life. It is no longer Jewish food in there. There is not a Jew out there that would make that chop liver for any holiday taste like this. And the Reuben. The meat is like rubber I have to not just bite down but have to use my fingers to rip it apart I can't even finish the sandwich like this I now have to use a rigid knife and fork. I could have sworn there was Russian dressing That was supposed to come on here. When I saw the sandwich it looked dry as hell so I asked for extra dressing and tell me why when I got home and opened up my bag I have a white little cup that looks and tastes like tartar sauce. If you have ever been to this restaurant in the past before it was sold off you remember what the food was like. You shouldn't go back you're going to be disappointed. My feelings are a little bit hurt. My cholesterol is going to be crying because it's chopped liver and my jaw hurts from taking two bites out of this dry sandwich. I would never recommend this restaurant. And if you know the previous owner is that they are still around send them in to go see what has happened. Tell them to order the chopped liver...

I love this place every way you can. The food is awesome, service great and most importantly to me, really good people. I recently returned from traveling to my sons wedding which required me to either quarantine for 14 days or be tested for Covid-19. My wife works as a nurse so she got tested with results back the next day. I got tested and put in an order at the resturant to pick up the next day figuring my negative test results would be back. When my results didn’t come back I called to move my order to the following day. Even though the order had already been made the manager/owner? said it was fine. I asked her if they couldn’t sell the items to hold those for me to pick up. When I picked up the following day she said she remade the order not wanting me to have day-old food and refused to take money for remaking them. I know how difficult restaurants have it currently with business restrictions. Not only would she not take money for remaking my order but she thanked me for following the guidelines for COVID19, meaning not breaking the quarantine to pick up some sandwiches. This is a great place and deli, give them lots of business, you and your stomach will be...

The food was fabulous. It was not inexpensive, but I got my money's worth. We had two sandwiches...a Reuben and a NewYorker (see photos). With each sandwich you get pickles and you get a side of French fries, cole slaw, or potato salad. My lunch companion had potato salad. That was yummy, and it was homemade...definitely not like the stuff you get at the grocery store. For a small amount extra you can upgrade your side dish to a side salad, or your choice of a meat, potato, or cheddar- broccoli knish. I had to have a potato knish...made there on premises...true ambrosia...oh my...just awesome knishes !!! We had a cream soda and a Cherry soda. The bill was 39 dollars and change so with a tip....it was a fifty dollar lunch for two people. That said.... everything was awesome. Everything was done right. Two sandwiches, with sides that come with the sandwich (mine as upgraded and swapped for a knish) and two sodas. It doesn't sound like much food for fifty bucks, but the amount of food was enough to take home to eat for dinner too. This is worth the visit. They have a special catering Passover takeout menu to keep in mind.

I came here on a random Saturday afternoon when we decided we didn't want sushi. Haven't been here in quite a while. It hasn't changed. And that's a good thing. The coffee was nice and hot. We got knishes. One meat one potato. Flavorful and wonderful, I'll be at a little on the small side for me. But very light and not. We both ordered Reuben sandwiches. I got mine with coleslaw. He got his with fries. Again, super flavorful just the right size and I don't even know how to explain that they didn't taste heavy? Even the coleslaw was light and airy. The waitress gave us a little surprise bit of potato salad, cause hubby had mentioned he liked it, but didn't order it. Her name is Julie . She's a true gem for the company. We will definitely be back as soon as we can.
