River Rose — Local services in New Braunfels

Went to a local bakery and walked past this shop and my two teen daughters wanted to go in and take a look. We walked in and were the only customers, there was a blonde lady toward the back with a clothing steamer and she didn’t even look up or greet us. Ok, that’s fine maybe she didn’t realize we were there but then we looked around for awhile and walked past her so I know she saw us. They do have some cute things but I can’t believe we weren’t even acknowledged…told my girls to put their finds down as no way were we going to spend money in a shop that can’t even say hello or extend a smile. We walked out and she still never looked up. I just don’t get it. How hard is it to say ‘Hello! Thanks for coming in! My name is *, let me know if you have any questions or need help’....

I stopped in on a whim with my 4 yo daughter after a stop at 2Tarts. My daughter had a mustache of green icing while eating a frog cookie and I shopped. Peyton was working and was so kind and friendly to my daughter and me. She didn’t make me feel rushed or like we were annoying as my daughter kept talking to me from across the store or touching all the balloons. She even steamed a dress for me before leaving. I didn’t try the 4 outfits on that I bought before leaving, but did a fashion show for my daughter when I got home. I’m so happy and content with all the items I came home with. I would rate it lower but that’s not an option, there was a woman that was staring me and my family down the entire time we where browsing the establishment, she didn’t welcome us in anyway shape or form. I pray that her unkindness did not come from a place of a racist mindset but I could have been a factor, we didn’t purchase anything even though they had some darling pieces, I would definitely recommend the other local boutique across the street if you are looking for somewhere to shop.
