Comal Inn — Hotel in New Braunfels

Our 3-night stay in the Mountain Laurel room in September was very pleasant. The location was quiet and peaceful. It is close to the many shops in New Braunfels including Naegelins German Bakery. The room had a nice cottage feel to it and was kept neat and clean. You have your own private parking space which was definitely convenient. The free breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and cereals provided was a nice touch. The mini refrigerator is a plus. We had a good night’s sleep on the comfortable bed. The air conditioner kept the room cool despite the very hot weather outside. At night, we were occasionally awakened by the noise of the AC turning on, but later got used to it. In the bathroom, there was a handy 4-level shelving unit which we put to good use. The pedestal sink was a bit too low and too small to effectively wash your face in. The shower head had good water pressure. There were plenty of bath and face towels, but only one hand-sized towel to use. The owners were friendly and allowed you to have your privacy. Really loved our stay at The Comal Inn 10/12-15/2023!!! We traveled with our daughter, SIL and 1 year old granddaughter. The Texas Cottage had a 2 bedroom/2 full bath. Both rooms had a king size bed. One bathroom had a tub which was needed for our granddaughter. Rare to find 2 full baths in vacation rentals. It was perfect for us. A front porch with 6 rocking chairs and comfy cushions was ours as well. Both rooms were the same size and we loved that we couldn’t hear anything from the other room and vice versa! The family room is perfect with lots of room and places to sit. Breakfast for the first day is provided and it is bountiful including a pastry from Naegelin’s bakery! The owners, Julie & Brent were super nice and answered any questions or provided anything needed quickly which is a plus. Quick walk to all the fun of downtown New Braunfels and 4 miles from Gruene, Tx. Highly...
