Being a 20 year veteran, having Isaac as a fellow mil member and representative at the Grand Rapids Michigan location, as an introduction to PADDLE NORTH, was fantastic! I've surfed all over the world and became an avid SUP'er, in 2011. I jumped in and purchased 2 high end models for my wife and I, while never even questioning adding the love to our life. The only downfall to the versions we use is NOT an issue with their stability and quality! They simply cost us, in added weight. Not a ton! But, after riding all day in windy conditions, could be hard on carrying them back,, for my small statured wife. We've traveled the coasts throughout the US! We also live next to our local river, and are among many lakes, including the Southern shore of Lake Michigan. We are excited to have such a mobile package for her (and I, if I am required to carry along with my full size model as well), after a great session. If it is as useful as we feel it WILL be, I am sure we will be adding another! Or even multiples, to the quiver! The fit and feel of the venerable materials, is outstanding! Testing against all positive we have heard, will be a pleasure if even half as good, as we've seen on nearly all feedback. I'd love to have Isaac as a name I may turn to, for some time! He is professional, well informed, and very positive as an asset to Paddle North...as well as our paddle community! That stated, we hope to get some board to board time, with others! We've already recommended multiple products to our family, that live on our local lakes! We will follow up with videos, and hands on reviews. I too, will be greatly interested in employing some time on Paddle North products! No matter how much I surf/paddle, hardsurfaced products, this does interest me. I was certainly impressed with the standard bamboo based boards! As time goes, and finances allow, we may look at those, when its time for more. Great brand and best in wishes to the success of the brand! We hope we see Paddle North flourish, for years to come! Steve and...
Read more(Will update after full use of products this summer) The customer service is quality that is remarkable! The products dont come any shorter either!
The past couple years I noticed Paddle North at the state fair. Slowly, growing larger in size. If you follow any of Paddle North's products or visit their website, you'll likely notice that everything "just makes sense" in terms of products, specs, accessories, and design.
We decided to purchase some inflatable kayaks and other toys for the water this season. The first thing we noticed when we arrived in store was how simple, yet clean and organized the store itself is. Everything is easy to see and visually able to determine every product (they keep nearly everything on display). Eliminating the hassle of guessing sizes or other details from pictures. Upon being greeted by their staff, you'll notice that they are friendly, energetic, and very quick to give open and honest advice. You will get the Minnesotan small talk/friendliness here.
All the products purchased have a durable and quality feel to them compared to other competitors. The kayaks were easy to assemble into the backpacks and other equipment provided! Everything you need to get on the water this summer is right in store!
Will update with photos during the summer once they officially are able to be used in the water! We are counting the days down from when we can get to use them!
Thanks Paddle North!...
Read moreMy original post is contained below. I once had a boss who told me that âItâs impossible to always GET it right, our job is to always MAKE it right.â Well â hats off to Paddle North for going above and beyond. After posting my initial review I was contacted by Lindsey K. who (after we shared appropriate documentation of the problems) will be replacing our kayaks with new ones (YES, in the middle of the Caribbean). I am more than impressed with the response and outcome. Thank you Lindsey and thank you Paddle North for both standing behind your product and taking extraordinary care of your customers!!!!
(Original post) We bought the Karve kayak and are disappointed in how long they lasted given the cost ($1400.00). I gave 3 stars for the amount of years they lasted. To the credit of the company, we bought 2 and one of them deflated out of the gate which they replaced immediately for free. However, now just over 3 years (outside of the warranty period) neither will hold air to actually use. The seams on top and bottom start hissing the minute you try to blow them up. As cruisers we thought these were ideal and were seeking high quality. Unfortunately that is not our case and if we had known we would have bought a $500 kayak instead. Of course, we are in a remote location (San Blas, Panama) without being able to joy the exploration...
