Brighton Oaks — Local services in New Brighton

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

There are many reasons why I would not recommend anyone moving to Brighton Oaks. Firstly, the management is absolutely terrible. Bonnie is no help whatsoever and will either blow off your issues or just won't address them, as well as Renee, who makes excuses for the many things wrong with this place. Secondly, it is filthy and disgusting. There is trash constantly on the floor in the trash room because the other residents are too lazy to throw it down the chute two feet away. There are cockroaches, which I had to get my unit sprayed for twice. Which meant I had to take EVERYTHING out of my cupboards and cabenets. Thirdly, the police are always here and there have been a handful of times where people were getting arrested right outside my windows. And there are constantly children running up and down the halls, bouncing balls, and screaming. And the visitor parking situation is terrible, there are 6 spots and many residents park their second cars there so you can't utilize them, and there is no street parking, so you can't have anyone stay past 10pm.

December is my 4th month living here at Brighton Oaks apartments. My experience is pretty good so far. I am reading all the reviews and I have not encountered any problems with the management. Every time I have had to contact the management or needed their help they resolved all my issues in a timely fashion. Usually, the first few months after moving into a new place can be overwhelming, so Ikran helped us transition into our new home without difficulties by being attentive and quick to responding requests. We hit few hiccups (nothing related to the management or Brighton Oaks) during our move-in and she did everything to help us secure our apartment before the start of school. I appreciate her for working very hard with me and my family. Recently, I was having trouble paying my rent on my portal. When I spoke with Ikran, she resolved the problem promptly. When I realized that my heat was out of batteries and not working, I stopped by the office and they put in the maintenance work, they came to fix it promptly. This is the worst apartments in Minnesota. I want let everyone know to stay away from Brighton Oaks. They will charge you out of nowhere and they have very rude and the most corrupt management I have ever seen. They will steal your money and they will tell you that you owe crazy amounts of money out of nothing. Most people who live there are immigrants from Africa and the management are very rude to them, and steal their money and get away with it. They will come in your apartment without a notice and they will racially profile you. They are racists. They don’t clean their garage, and They don’t take the trash quickly and they will fine you every little thing they can find. They are thieves with a black clothing. Please stay away from Brighton Oaks. They are really terrible and I would not advise you to go to Brighton Oaks. And oh, Brighton Oaks apartments got Rats and cockroaches running around inside the apartments. I wouldn’t wish my enemy to go there.
