I had a really disappointing experience with this boutique. I exchanged an item and received a store credit. Common practice for these small boutiques. You are not refunded but given a credit to use inn their store. When I returned to use it—just five days past the expiration dat (only 6months by the way) the staff member told me it might still be possible to use it and suggested I reach out to the owner, since she has reactivated store credits for others in the past.
What’s most frustrating is that the expiration date was never mentioned to me at the time of the exchange. It was simply handwritten in pen on the receipt, which I didn’t even notice. That’s not a professional or transparent way to communicate an important policy, especially when it involves a customer’s money.
When I contacted the owner, I was told the system automatically deletes expired credits and there was absolutely nothing that could be done. This contradicts what I was told in the store and left me feeling dismissed as a customer.
