Kohl's — Local services in New Milford

Well, I feel terrible linking this to New Mulford because it isn’t that particular store, but there is nowhere that you can complain about Kohl’s online that I can find. I place an order you take my gift cards you charge my credit card. You give me a delivery date 3-4 days later I get an email saying oh just kidding We’re canceling your order we gave you a delivery date, but we gave you a delivery date for something that doesn’t exist in our warehouse. And will give you your money back sometime soon, but not right now even though we charged you and took your money within 10 seconds you’ll be waiting days to get it back so you can’t use that money to order something else from us or anybody else. And you can’t talk to us about it because we’re gonna put you online with an AI robot that’s gonna continue to say we can’t help you, then you’re gonna put me in a queue behind 200 other people so I can spend an hour or more of my day waiting to talk to an agent online I can’t send you an email you say that right on your website. We don’t take emails. I can sit on the telephone for two hours waiting for somebody to pick up, but I have to go to Work so Kohl’s literally just lost all of my business today. I can’t believe what an absolute nightmare this is to deal with if he didn’t have it in stock you shouldn’t have let me order it and you shouldn’t have taken my money. So much for the gift cards that I was given as a gift everybody make sure you don’t buy anybody Kohl’s gift cards because they’re gonna get screwed out of them.

I went to Kohl's the other night to get a couple pairs fo slacks. (They looked and fit nicely, but for the sake of brevity, I won't go into the part of the story where I vowed to go on a diet....)

I found what I needed, went to the checkout and proceeded to ask the very nice woman at the checkout if I could somehow use a nice juicy coupon code, since I was fresh out of coupons. The woman's name is "Amy". Amy was very nice and explained that there were currently no coupons. (Amy also was gracious enough to laugh at all of my jokes. I mean, some of them are actually funny, but she probably felt like she was being water-boarded a little. Despite that, she pressed on...)

Amy asked me if I wanted to get a Kohl's credit card. I didn't want to, but she persisted, in a very friendly and not-pushy way. I figured, finally, sure, why not...

After she rang up the pants she cheerfully mentioned, " By using the new card, you just saved 35% on your merchandise." - Amy then became my newest best friend at Kohl's.

I wanted to thank Amy for not being pushy, for being caring enough to persist a little, in a non-confrontational way, and for saving me a boat-load of cash on my order. Kohl's obviously has a good screening and/or training program for their cashiers.

I have been a loyal customer since you opened your New Milford store. There are a number of reasons why I constantly shop here and more over enjoy shopping here. Fred, the store manager is probably the key reason. Fred always is cheerful, friendly and kind, helpful. Fred always greets me asking how I am, how am I doing, do I need help with anything. He’ll go out of his way to make sure you find what you’re looking for. He manages the store and trains the staff so well because they take after him, friendly, helpful. The store is always neat and clean, very pleasant atmosphere. The merchandise is displayed in an artistic manner, eye catching. If a line is too long, Fred or a staff member is on top of the situation opening another cash register. Even returning Amazon merchandise is so easy to do here. I wrote to Amazon telling them that. I find the clothing fashionable and of good quality. People still ask me where I bought my black faux leather jacket that I purchased at 5 years ago at this store. The sales and rewards program are good. I have many store choices and on line choices but I continually return here. It is so nice when people treat you like a friend.
