Orleans Center — Local services in New Orleans

Large gas station/convenience store on the corner of Broad and Orleans. It's kind of a pain in the butt to actually get gas here. Prices are on par for the area, but the lot is always full and hard to navigate, especially on a busy intersection. Fortunately I get to walk for what has to be my favorite place for a poboy. The cafe is awesome, PERIOD! $20 32 INCH SHRIMP POBOY. Hands down the best in NOLA. Yeah you might be able to find a *better one, but the $20 will only you get 1/4 as much(maybe). I've had the oyster, which is a steal at its price too, but I'm gonna ride this deal until it or I die. Look at it, it needs its own seatbelt! $20 and is legitimately good with a lot of shrimp! Despite it's less than ideal location, this corner store/convenince store/deli/meat market/cell phone shop/knick knacks/etc is awesome. The deli makes amazing poboys for the best prices. An 8" chisesi ham and swiss dressed on french bread is less than $5 with tax and is one of the best in the city. They have fried chicen and fish, fresh meats like Ribeyes and T-Bones. As a gas station in THIS AREA, they are great.

Holy moly. There are 4 gas stations from my house. Three of them have credit card issues and even one of the pump stations deliver gas slower than a slug smoking reefer. Sigh.

This place? Solid. I can pump gas fine. I can actually use my credit card -- great. And if you want a snack, they serve 30 inch poboys. Although they aren't as good as food stores, as a gas station, definitely...
