Gae-Tana's — Local services in New Orleans

I am a HUGE new fan of Gae-Tana. It's the place to shop during the COVID era! (And afterwards, too.)

I had to buy some new clothes urgently this week, and was very nervous about clothes shopping for health reasons. Well, folks, this is the place to go! Not only lovely clothes, but I could not have imagined a more sensitive COVID protection setup. Two staff people, Anabelle and Jennifer, spent about an hour with me, shuttling clothing from inside the store to my makeshift dressing room just inside the doorway. All of us were in masks. (Had it not been for pelting rain and a heatwave, we would have been doing most of this outside.)

Their attitude, patience, and opinions about my clothing choices were all terrific. I left with four beautiful summer items and a heart full of appreciation for the safe and welcoming environment Gae-Tana has created in a time of stress and...

I would rate this store 5+ stars!!! I found it the first time we came to visit Tulane with my daughter a few years ago and now it is my very first stop when I come back. The clothing, shoes, bags, and jewelry is unique, affordable and wearable!!! Nearly everything can be dressed up or down. The ladies in here are the absolute best. One time right as I walked in I got a phone call that my husband was in the ER back in Florida. They graciously allowed me to sit on the sofa, make phone calls, etc for over an hour! Now that is heart and hospitality. They were my favorite store before that, but that really sealed the deal for me. I can take my 20 year old and I have taken my 78 year old mom and we can all find multiple things to buy and love. I cannot recommend...

Thank heaven for Gae-Tana's. I HATE to shop, but 18 years ago, some sweet woman put together a several outfits for me for a new job. I loved them, and I wore them for years, at many different sizes. Last year I went back, again in near despair. I still hate to shop, but now I'm fattish, and I don't even know where to begin. I had such fantastic customer service. The woman who helped me put together outfits I wouldn't have ever considered. She helped me find things that, like the clothes I bought 18 years ago, I will wear for years. Summer's coming, and...
