Location: The NEW location a block away is much bigger, & so nice and clean! Service: Ms Kim greeted me by name after meeting only once before, which felt so good. Speedy service kept the line moving fast, which was great on my lunch break. Food: Large variety. My grilled chicken lunch plate was the definition of lagniappe, packed to the brim with my side of lo mein (flat noodles) loaded with shrimp, bell peppers, cabbage, and brocolli. I was NOT expecting the delicious flavor in the chicken! Perfectly juicy, tender, and savory. Drink selection: Huge cooler full of bottled drinks (safer sanitation during COVID times), *don’t forget to add drinks at checkout! Price: It is comparable to similar restaurants, which is a steal here since you buy 1 meal & have enough leftovers for later. I always loved orchid until my experience the other day. I bought 3 plates, fried rice, drinks, cake, and gumbo.

I asked a question about the gumbo the lady at the register seemed to be annoyed. But the problem came when I asked for duck sauce lol. She grabbed one packet and I looked at her and said can I get more.

She proceeded to tell me that the ducksauce wasn't free and it was 5© a pack lol. I explained that I just spent $60 plus dollars so why are we haggling about sauce.

In order to settle it I gave her a quarter for 5 packets of duck sauce. I love the food but how rude she was will have me never go back to orchid.

I have been going there for years and years always telling people about orchid and how good their food is, but her bad service will cause not to return because good money...

This fast food restaurant has changed.My family and I hadn’t been there in a while! Since the old Orchid which served much better food.Upon entering you’re being rush to decide, even though you’re the only one in line. Everything may Look delicious until you try it. I ordered the Shrimp fried Rice because of the display. Very Large delicious shrimp on top. My order had only three very small ones, also dry and day old.
