Save A Lot — Local services in New Port Richey

I shop here often. This is the only grocery store I go to unless they do not have the product I'm looking for. Unfortunately I will not be back. While standing in line(which they are usually long), I was down an aisle the line was that long. A young kid stood at a different register. He proceeded to continue shopping thru the store and when he return he wanted someone to ring him up at a different register. While we were all waiting patiently, he tried to cut into the line and when the cashier told him he needed to wait. He proceeded to complain that he didn't want to wait and be was just trying to hurry up and get out of the store. So to keep the child happy, the cashier rang him up in front of everyone who had been waiting some time. So after working 9 hours and then going to the store, I then had to watch a young kid throw a fit and get his way. Needless to say, my groceries were set down and I walked out. Spent my money at Winn Dixie, got a better quality of steak for $.50 more and had better customer service which matters more to me...

Put my items down and walked out!!! One cashier, 25-30 people waiting in line! Asked cashier if he could call for another cashier to help. He said "No, just me, myself, and I to do it all!" Witnessed another male employee just walking around doing nothing. Another shopper said there's another employee. The cashier said that he can't run a register. Cashier had a nasty attitude, and started saying things back and forth with customer. After hearing some of the nasty comments I put my items down and walked out of the store. I asked the cashier his name as I left...he said "Jimmy Harris" with a snotty attitude. I called the corporate office as I walked out the door. Multiple customers left behind me! I do instacart, shopping for others, and I have to say.. Glad these were MY groceries. The cashier I had, Sarah (according to receipt) just threw my stuff in the cart. Most of my boxed groceries are not dented, or flatten by the 5lb ground beef and the beef stew meat. I get there aren't bags to put them in, doesn't mean you throw our groceries willy nilly. Be mindful of the things we buy from your store and don't throw things, how would you like it if it was your stuff throw around. Wonder how she would've handled breakable products.

Aside from that, they go by their name "save a lot", still love the prices. Could just use better service at...
