I had a STELLAR experience with this rental location. It was (based on my recollection) my first time renting from Alamo.
PRICE: I went with them because their SUV rates were the best I could find for a multi-day cross-country move from NYC LA between Christmas and New Year's Day.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: I went into the location on Christmas Eve expecting a long line--especially because we're living in Covid times--but was able to zip up to the desk immediately and was warmly greeted by two lovely people. We started talking about my move to LA and they took care of me to ensure I had a comfortable cross-country trip. I had a few questions about some minor scratches on my rental and the attendant educated me on what to look for vs not and quickly showed me some literature on NY guidelines, which was a great learning experience for me!
RENTAL CAR: The car was in great shape and very clean.
DROP OFF: Was very quick and easy.

On Saturday 18 November 2023 I went to Alamo office 44th street New York city to collect the car I already booked online. I was offered an upgrade but I declined. I accepted the Fuel Service option assuming the fuel tank was full. I got a Hyundai Santa Fe with only 25% full tank.
I returned the car on Sunday 19 November 2023 and received the invoice for 182.43 USD on 20 November which was deducted from my credit card.
I noticed that I have been charged for Fuel Service option despite having to fill the tank and pay 48.03 USD.
Then I noticed that my credit card has been charged again for the same rental amount 182.43 USD.
I sent an e-mail to Alamo to inquire but I did not receive any response.

Call again on the way there the next day and told youâre great. I walk in and immediately we donât take that you have to go to an airport. I explained everything is recorded and I couldnât be more clear. Told too bad, meanwhile on Federal disability walking blocks on 1 leg. Call customer service multiple times and itâs sorry all are different. Iâm sorry you couldnât have mentioned this, literally making a judgement up to me to call each location.
