Full of rats running boldly around the playground where my young kids played. Counted about ten that I could see. Not hidden at all. I would scare them off periodically. The kids didn’t notice so we stayed a couple hours.
There was a mob of what looked like delivery drivers filling every available seat outside the fenced off playground area (not counting where the rats took over) eating lunch there from about 3-5 on a Sunday. My guess is the trash cans get full of food and the rats have a Field day.
Bathrooms were utterly disgusting. Urinal flooded with urine spilling all over the floor in a massive puddle. No lock on stall. Sink worked.
Overall wouldn’t recommend. We happened to be in the area and wanted to give the kids some time to run around and expend some energy. There may be better options.
Basketball court was pretty busy with older kids. Playground was empty except for a few adults working out and sitting inside the area marked “no adults except when accompanying children”. They didn’t disturb my kids so I guess it wasn’t that big a deal.
There was a police van with officers inside parked nearby in full view, so felt...
Read moreGood use of a fairly restricted space between high-rises, this playground offers local youth some respite. There is a sprinkler, two sets of climbing equipment, benches, swings and a basketball court. The playground has an upper level, and one lower, but there is no ramp connecting the two (at least not which I saw or remember), so only the lower half is accessible to the handicapped. Police from Midtown North regularly patrol the area. There is a bathroom, but it was locked during this review. Thankfully nothing unseemly needed to be done in the...
Read moreThis park had a toddler structure and further up was a bigger kids structure. There were a few swings. My kids were playing and all the sudden there was an influx of middle schoolers. They took over the bigger area. Some of them sat on the picnic tables and played cards. I guess they walk over from school. There were also 3 cops that came to monitor the play. When I saw the big kids we quickly went to play at the...
