I made a reservation for 9pm, they did not tell me it would be a $100 per person pre fixed menu. That’s the first issue. Someone in our party had a shellfish allergy and they said they will give her the $60 pre fixed menu that had other options on it, that never happened and then they claimed to not have said it. Fast forward to 9:10pm they said our table was ready and had been ready since before w even got there but we were waiting on 3 more ppl to arrive so they made us stand in the front. About 9:17 the remaining 3 people arrived and we were guided through the entire place to a top floor with no music, no chairs, just a couch and a low floor table, when asked how were we supposed to eat like that they said we can have a table downstairs. So they take us back downstairs to the table that was supposedly for us originally but the table was dirty, they said give them 2 minutes to clean it and they stood us in the middle of the restaurant where the servers were constantly trying to pass to be able to serve the guest. Around 9:45pm still no table so they gave us a complementary shot. By 10:15ish they had a table for us, but the table didn’t accommodate the size of my party and it also was dirty, the guy Johnathan starts cleaning the time while we stand there and I said how is it that the 2 minute wait to clean out table turn into almost an hour and the table still wasn’t clean, he responded in just trying to get you guys a seat if you want I can put yall back over there and yall can continue to wait. I stated there was no need to be rude or nasty at all especially when it’s not our fault. Then there was a table that one lady said we can sit at that would accommodate us because that table didn’t but a guy told us we couldn’t (he claimed he was the manager) . Then they offer us the table behind us because they were making the people that were sitting there move to a back table since they were only drinking and smoking. Once they were fully moved Johnathan proceeds to sit a different group of people at the table they just told us was ours. So the lady from the front came and was like what are you doing I told them these tables are for them, he then separates the tables and put us at the end portion. So now we are finally seated around 10:35/40. Apart of the $100 per person was 90 minutes unlimited punches, we at one point I ask Jonathan to fill our drinks bottles because they were empty and his response was well y’all still have drinks in yall cups that are in the table, I asked what that had to do with anything, it’s 90 minutes unlimited punches so regardless what’s in our cups the bottles are empty. He had an attitude but then he went to fill up one of them instead of both. Now it’s 11:00 and we haven’t gotten any food any appetizers nothing. So we start asking about our food, finally 11:15 appetizers come out. Then they start to bring our food out at 11:35 with to go boxes talking about they are closing, and that they stayed extra time to accommodate us! How did they accommodate us when they made us wait for so long, change our seat 4 times, and then bought our food out and kicked us out at the same time. And we still paid in full when we shouldn’t have paid shit because we weren’t even sitting for 90 minutes to eat, drink and enjoy our time ! I really do not recommend this place at all, they are rude, they lie and no one takes accountability. They messed up big time! I would never again go...

Soooooooo this was a few weeks ago. My brother gave a rave review about this place. We went with a party of 7 including my Mom. We drove from Brooklyn to see the Christmas lights in Macys window and then dinner. We arrived to this restaurant around 10:30 pm. They usually close at 11 pm on Saturday. The place was very packed and almost a fire hazard but we were hungry. My brother spoke to the guy who was allegedly the greeter and seater. He was told that we can have a seat on this long uncomfortable bench thing. Was told they would stay open late that night and the wait for a table will be about 20 minutes. Mom was hungry because she didn’t eat all day and expecting this delicious food. We waited and waited and waited. He should have just told us that there was no space for us instead of leading us on. When the clock struck about 11:15, we spoke to another man about this long wait. We were then directed to go on the line where the takeout was and place our orders so that when we get to the back (in which that atmosphere felt like a back room instead of a dining area), the orders can be brought to the table. The Jamaican guy with a bad bleach skin job behind the counter told us to get off the line and go to the back area. We all go to the back where hookah smoke is blowing in every direction, weed smoke wafting in from outside, and a half naked woman walking back and forth going to and from the back room (which is the supposedly dining area), and extremely loud music. My Christian Mom was super hungry and agitated by now as we all were. The same guy that instructed us to wait in the first place and also to go to the front counter asked us why were we sitting there. We were all baffled. We told him what happened and he said, “No, I told y’all to place your order and then come to the back to be seated and then you won’t have to wait when you get to the table”. Huh??? Ok, so we all march back up to the front of the restaurant again to place our orders. The bad bleached skinned guy had an attitude by now. He says, “There is no more good, just leftovers and we only have a little salmon left”. SAYYYY WHATTTT NOW? He was then going back and forth with the cooks and the guy who started the fiasco. It’s almost 12 am now and no one had eaten. I said I will give a review on this place and the bleached skin guy shrugged his shoulders and unapologetically sucked his teeth. We are all now standing in front of the restaurant hungry, feeling awful for Mom and upset that we travelled so far for NOTHING BUT BAD SERVICE AND ATTITUDES. One man standing next door saw us and suggested that they have another restaurant under the same name across town but it’s only take out. We went there against Mom will. The people whom took the orders was nice and the food was delicious once we got to our homes. We received our food at almost 1 am and by the time we got home it was 2 am. Oh what a night turned nightmare. I will not spend my money in none of these establishments in the future. Stay away if you’re hungry on a Saturday. SIDE NOTE: OF COURSE I GOT A CUT, COPY AND PASTE RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER AND I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IT IS THE OWNER THAT RESPONDED TO THIS POST. HOW DO YOU MAKE IT BETTER? YOUR RESPONSE MAKE NO SENSE. DO YOU EXPECT ME TO SPEND MY HARD EARNED RETIREMENT MONEY IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT? I THINK NOT. YOU ARE NOT EVEN COMPENSATING OR ENTICING SO...

My friends and I visited the East Harlem location on June 7, 2024. It was our first time there . We had reservations for a party of 5. Upon arrival we were greeted with a host who asked us how many was in our time , we mentioned that we have prior reservations . He begin to tell us that there was a prefix menu that included two options , $60 per person dinner menu that included an appetizer , entree, two sides . The $100 person option that included , an appetizer , entree , two sides , unlimited pitcher drinks ( which by the way was not a pitcher). It was a slender bottle that they brought out, and the complimentary hookah.

The host then took us to be seated. We were seated at the table and the waiter came over and told us about the prefix menu again. My party and I all decided on the $100 per person option. The waiter began to take our dinner and drink orders .

We waited awhile for our food to come out , which was fine . The problem was when the food did finally come out , the collard greens were very salty , which we complained to the waiter ( he notified us that he went to the back to taste the greens and notified the chef that it was indeed very salty). To sum up everything , all of our food that came out wasn't hot , it was warm . We also complained to the waiter. The drinks were not up to par and the waiter also agreed when he took a cup and tasted it in front of us . To sum up everything , all of our food that was brought out to us was not hot. The entire night was very dissatisfying and disappointing. Not to mention , the complimentary hookah they brought out was kit for a few minutes and then went out . No one ever came to relight it . In my opinion it shouldn't have gone out bat fast.

The night was completely ruined and so distracted by the many things that went wrong that none of us ate or even enjoyed our meal . We told the waiter to bring our to-go bags . We asked for the bill and was completely blown away by the price and the 20% gratuity included in the bill . There was also a $100 deposit hold required to hold the table and was told the $100 would be deducted from the final bill . The final bill was $644 minus the $100 deposit hold , which brought the bill to $544.40. The problem with that is, one , WE WAS NEVER SHOWN A REGULAR MENU (the prices on the regular menu were much lower ) .. or didn't know one existed until after we left and did our research . Upon arrival we're told greeted and told of the prefix menu only!!!! We felt that we were not only misinformed , but poor quality of the service and the food we received. If we were shown or given a regular menu that would have given us an option as to what route we wanted to take. It was very unfair to us and we were very dissatisfied. A $544.40 bill was downright outlandish and absurd. The mananger Mike wasn't any help and did not try to remendy the situation.

I am writing this review to make other patrons aware. I would never revisit that restaurant or recommend it . The restaurant itself seem to cater more to a younger crowd where people are standing in the seat dancing and twerking ( inside a restaurant ). It was absolutely discouraging . I give yesterday's rating a 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I wouldn't give it...
