I had the worst of experience at this particular store. I was infuriated, to say the least. After making a quick stop in Sunday to purchase a toy stroller for my toddler, I decided to go back again to take browse the store. I went on my break time from work, wearing my nursing scrubs and my bike helmet. I spent about 5-10 minutes in the store. On my way out, one store attendant asked to see me receipt. I was taken aback, thinking I misheard her so I asked her to come again and she told me her manager asked me. When I asked the store manager, he said "we do this to everyone" to which I responded, I Just saw 3 different Men if a different race than me walk out without being interrogated/harassed. When I purchased the toy stroller Sunday, I wasn't interrogated or harrassed.I was appalled in that moment of the racial discrimination and the complete dismissal of my experience. I explained to him that if he didn't respect me or value my business because of the color of my skin at least he could respect that in a healthcare worker and offer me some dignity. Surely, I wouldn't jeopardize my job/career over a helmet. B his reply was "so going off on a tangent and let it go already." I couldn't believe the words that came out of his mouth. I responded to him saying, "you need to change your approach, total can do better." On my way out I told the young lady, "I understand you're doing what you're being told but this is hurtful and you can do better too."

I was indignant of being the object of suspicion based on my race esp in 2023. Not only did they lose me as a customer but they've lost those of my coworkers for sure, and everyone who cares about treating people with dignity. Today's experience at the New Utrecht avenue location was unpleasant. Terrible customer service!! Staff doesn't speak English or understand. Came across 2 liars today one associate and a manager Muhammad. After associate invaded Myspace with no excuse me or sorry she proceeded to lie and say I hit her with my bag. I asked her if she knew what the word excuse me meant and she had no idea what I was saying. Then staff proceeded to speak in their language which is unprofessional and rude as well. Manager Muhammad after I complained about associate and when I asked for another manager I was told there was no one there which was another lie because I found another manager which hopefully he will take care of the situation Muhammad did not seem to care and was unhelpful.
