The Atrium Mall in Staten Island isn't a regional shopping powerhouse; it’s a refreshing throwback to a simpler time. Situated in a borough known for its major shopping centers, the Atrium stands apart as a smaller, more intimate complex. Its main draw is its crown jewel, the Atrium Stadium Cinemas, and the surrounding collection of local businesses, giving the entire location a charming, old-school neighborhood feel that you just can't find in larger, corporate-owned venues. The atmosphere of the Atrium Mall is its greatest asset. It exudes a nostalgic, slightly vintage charm. Unlike the brightly lit, streamlined interiors of newer complexes, the Atrium feels genuine and slightly weathered, offering a glimpse back at what shopping centers used to be. It’s the kind of place where locals know the staff and the pace is deliberately slower. This cozy environment makes it a fantastic refuge for those looking to escape the crowds and commercial hustle of the larger Staten Island retail hubs. The heart of the Atrium is undoubtedly the Atrium Stadium Cinemas. This multiplex has maintained an independent, old-timey feel, offering a classic movie-going experience that many chains have long abandoned. While it features modern comforts and movie selections, the experience of walking into the cinema feels like a trip back in time. For movie enthusiasts who prioritize tradition and charm over the latest amenities, the Atrium cinema is a cherished local destination. While the mall itself is compact, it houses a practical and diverse mix of tenants. You’ll find the essentials of a small, self-contained plaza—often featuring local favorites like pizzerias, bagel shops, and a few miscellaneous service providers. This small ecosystem ensures that whether you’re grabbing a slice before a matinee or running a quick errand, the Atrium serves its immediate community efficiently and warmly. It’s a great place to stop for a bite, especially with the variety of fast-casual and local dining options available. In summary, the Atrium Mall is beloved not for its size or its extensive directory, but for its genuine character. It provides a unique, accessible, and nostalgic option for Staten Islanders, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic, classic movie theater experience. It's a reminder that sometimes, the best places are the ones that simply...
Read moreI’ve been coming to the Atrium Plaza for over 20 years—back when hanging out with friends in the parking lot and grabbing Dunkin’ Donuts was the thing to do. Recently, I had a chance to pass through Staten Island, and I was amazed to see that the Atrium still looks much the same as it did back then. It was nostalgic, but I also couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed that it hasn’t seen a major upgrade over the years.
The Dunkin’ Donuts has had a bit of a refresh, but the drive-thru setup remains unchanged, leading to the same old backup of cars on Arthur Kill Road. Some things just never change, I guess! All in all, the Atrium Plaza is a fun throwback and while it might not have kept up with the times, it’s nice to see a piece of the past...

Some stores were closed some are open but like I said I was unfamiliar with this place. if you want to come to this...
