Blue Lagoon Holistic Med Spa — Local services in New York

Yesterday was my first visit. I got a colonic and fit body wrap. Its been a long time since I got a colonic and found this location in Queens. Its a bit far from me but it was worth the trip. Barbie was very attentive, helpful, kind and knowledgeable. She was the only employee there but was able to assist everyone in a timely fashion. I was honestly concerned about that because I was like "what if theres an emergency when I press the buzzer and she doesn’t get to me on time 😩" but nope Barbie was no it and made sure to check on everyone during their session.

She even made sure my daughter was comfortable while she was waiting for me in the waiting area. I'm definitely going back soon, hopefully Barbie is working that day. I also love how this location is around so many amazing juice spots and restaurant with healthy food and snacks as well as markets with fresh fruits. I was soooo hungry after my sessions but knew there were certain things I couldn't eat but I wanted to grab something before my long train ride home. I was able to find multiple places and I hung out in there area for a while. There was a lot going on with all the restaurants and so many people hanging out in the area and it was a beautiful day outside as well so its in a pretty great area, a great area to grab some good and take a nice walk after...

Before scheduling my appointment at Blue Lagoon Holistic Colonic Med Spa, they informed me they would charge $6 extra from my $74 Groupon purchase because they charge that extra charge for Groupon purchases. I notified them that wasn’t detailed in Groupon. They informed me that they aren’t using Groupon anymore because they aren’t making enough money on Groupon and they charge the extra $6 to make up for what they aren’t making off Groupon. Blue Lagoon Holistic Colonic Med Spa listed that the colon hydrotherapy is priced at $125 at their facilities but when I arrived there I noticed that their actual price listed on their walls is really $80. So now it makes sense why they Groupon users the extra $6. The extra $6 charge is to add up to their original price of $80. This is very deceptive of their business. The female staff who welcomed me was very pleasant and helped made the procedure easy for my first time but I still felt deceived from them charging me extra to hit their price point. That is bad business. Btw they took down the prices from their walls after my visit and my conversation with them about the prices on the walls. I was very hesitant about the process, not comfortable with the idea of anything penetrating my rectum...However Eric was very great at relaxing my anxiety, informing me of the process & preparing for the service. During the process I found it was simple, something I did on my own through Eric’s instruction, he wasn’t intrusive, was great at accommodating me and then leaving me to my space. It was a bit irritating, feeling kinda bloated while the stream cleaned me out...Felt like having diarrhea, even afterward still had to use the bathroom. But after all that was done I felt great, rejuvenated and relaxed. Eric & his wife made a great duo and thoroughly explained the importance of watching what you eat afterward, the ramifications of years worth of backed up food, and what’s necessary moving forward. Overall service was 👍🏾 great ‼️ I don’t often do reviews, this a testament to their quality service. In conclusion it wasn’t bad at all, if your like me & have a reluctance/fear of the process don’t worry... The tube doesn’t penetrate very far, and it felt as if it wasn’t even there.
