Top-notch equipment and a great chance to learn. It's also fun to see the city from a different perspective on the water and learn about the extensive boating culture in New York.

Best boating experience I've ever had. It was so much fun - high speed boating in the San Diego Bay on a bright day for two hours. Captain Brandon was very patient with answering our questions. I learned a lot about center console boats - how to operate it, how to navigate in the water and a lot of other technical details. Highly recommend this course.

I've literally never posted a negative review online before, but communicating with this company sucked so much that I had to say something.

Was super excited when I first found out about them, but they're very fast and loose with last minute cancellations - and either don't bother telling you or just forget altogether. My partner had a boating lesson that he traveled 50 minutes across the city for, only to find out when he got there that it was canceled. He texted the captain, who said he'd messaged us already, but uhh...either the captain forgot to, or just straight up lied. Neither exactly great for running a business.

My partner's way too nice so I confronted the captain about this, and he replied back solely with, "Here's the link to reschedule!" What??? Is there even a real person behind their phone line?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that that was the 4TH TIME we rescheduled - the others because, as you guessed, they cancelled last minute. And honestly, I don't even mind that part much - I get it, bad weather happens, boats break down, etc. But being so sloppy/negligent that you don't even tell people when sessions ARE cancelled is such a bad look for a company....

Captain Alex was a wonderfully succinct but informative teacher while on the speedboat so we could spend more time with hands-on training! Our class had 4 people so we each got to man the speedboat for a good amount of time. We left from North Cove Marina instead for our class, so the waters were a bit choppy where the fresh and salt water mixed... Alex let us sail once we were in the calmer part. Highly recommend Boatsetter Academy and their free 2 hour introduction to...

It was a great way for my partner and I to celebrate our anniversary. It was both of our first time on a boat and what a great way to see Manhattan and Jersey!
