I have had the pleasure of recently receiving two prenatal massages between my 36-38 week with Lucy at BodyWork Spa Jackson Heights.

Prior to the first massage, I woke up with my hips and sides pretty sore after having to sleep on them day after day (also due to the expected progression of hip and pelvic pain during pregnancy). So I messaged Lucy for her availability. She was able to accommodate me that evening. She was able to loosen a knot that alleviated some pain I was feeling on my side.

For the second massage, she was able to incorporate acupressure points that help to induce labor.

I also appreciate how stretches (including cat/cow) and pulls are included with the massages (it makes me feel like the athlete that I am! :) ).

Scheduling was pretty straight forward.

You do have to take stairs up to the massage room. However, her space is very clean and welcoming.

She also provides complimentary massages by the Jackson Heights Farmer’s Market on Sundays on occasion. I can sense her passion to help others through her services.

It is convenient and also wonderful to have a great Licensed Massage Therapist in the neighborhood.

I look forward to more massages with Lucy and I definitely would recommend.

Bodywork Spa is a clean, comfortable, peaceful and professional environment. The Masseuse, Ms. Lucy P is highly attentive, capable and intuitive in her technique. She understands precisely where you need deep pressure and where you may need a lighter form of massage. When I arrived I was very tense and tight in my neck, shoulders and back from lifting weights and from dealing with a great deal of work/career related stress. Sometimes we forget that we need more than just good nutrition and active rest to fully recover from the stress of life, work and hard workouts at the gym. During and post Covid-19 shutdowns the one thing I have pursued far less was enhancing my recovery through massage and bodywork therapy. I am very happy that I discovered Lucy and the Bodywork Spa of Jackson Heights. I won't allow that much time to elapse before I head back for another treatment. I highly recommend, without reservation, this individual and her Spa. She is a rare find...
