Not for Mio highly over-rated short: cold service, cold food, hot prices long: I was asking around for recommendations for a Hispanic restaurant to take my family members for a birthday lunch. This place was highly recommended by a coworker. The location itself is a massive, wide, open space, which seems great for events. It was after the second visit that I realized it actually looks like a car dealership went out of business, paint the walls, add tables and chairs, and overall, a smart conversion if that's the case. The second thing I noticed is how little the servers give a sh1t. They do the bare minimum. First visit: The first time, yes, there, unfortunately, was a second time. We had the following: camarones cuzco; ceviche; and el matador. My mother was very unsatisfied with the ceviche; the camarones cuzco would have been okay at a much lower price it was substandard and cold; matador was visually impressive the size of it but it's definitely quantity over quality. The second time, I was invited by a group of coworkers. It was a surprise. I enjoyed their company. The waiter didn't even leave a menu for her. I had to walk back to the entrance to get it myself. I had the jalea, a very dry, unflavorful dish that looked like food scraps. I asked the waiter for sauce because it was so dry and he was adamant that they didn't have any sauce, even though later on the party next to our table was brought a container with sauce. My coworker got the camarones cuzco, same as the first time. Our friend got the filet mignon dish which consisted mainly of fries. I don't like posting negative reviews so I didn't post it after the first visit. I'm doing this more for me to remind me to be firm and decline any future invitations to this place. One positive: the sangria tastes great.

Looking for the ultimate Peruvian rotisserie chicken experience? Look no further! This spot is a gem for chicken lovers, offering a twist on the classic dish that will exceed your expectations. Even if you're used to having rotisserie chicken at home, the flavor and quality here will blow you away. Personally, I'm not one to usually order chicken when dining out, but I couldn't resist, and wow, it was hands down the best chicken I've ever tasted. And the ceviche micro? Absolutely delightful! Now, onto the service. While the waitstaff presence is abundant, there's room for improvement in their attentiveness. But fear not, the lively atmosphere with live music adds to the fun, although it can get a tad loud if you're seated too close to the band. Pro tip: If you're aiming for a cozy conversation, opt for a table farther away from the music. Just a heads up, this place tends to cater to larger groups, so it's wise to make reservations in advance. Get ready to indulge in fantastic food and vibrant ambiance!

I’m new in the area and was told that Pio Pio was a bit pricey, however the food was great. So I tried the steak with French fries, rice and beans and an avocado salad 🥗 the total was approx $54.00 🤦🏻‍♀️ the beans were an extra charge and the salad was $11.00, I honestly didn’t think the price was bad because my expectations were high. Needless to say I was so disappointed I wanted to throw the food away, however, I paid way to much and was way to hungry lol. For one, they put the rice, French fries and steak in the same plate. The portion of steak was unbelievably small and the French fries were soaked in gravy so they were super soggy. For the price I was expecting everything packed separately. I will never eat here again 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks but no thanks! The steak and rice didn’t taste bad, but it couldn’t enjoy it due to the messy presentation. Count your days Pio Pio 😡 If you want: 1. Very Small Portions 2. Over priced food 3. Messy/Soggy food Eat here ☺️

Food is still good. Service was horrible tonight. I have been a patron of this restaurant for around 20 years, when this particular branch still sat across the street in a smaller space. I've been to many a dinner and birthday celebration here. I even bought the food for 50+ people for my son's birthday party across the street at Pio Pio to go 2 years ago. 15 full catering trays smelled pretty good in my car on the ride from the restaurant!

Tonight we visited with a party of 8. 5 adults and 3 small children. It was probably the worst display of service I've had to sit for. It was not particularly busy on a Monday night. We sat down at 7. I know this because the legal street parking in front of the venue starts at 7 after the rush hour no standing rule ends. We ordered everything upon the first visit by the waiter as we know the menu well. We ordered drinks, apps and food. The drinks came quickly and that was the last real interaction with our waiter. 30 minutes after our drinks came to the table, we had to flag the waiter down (remember? not too busy. Only one table next to us near the far corner from the entrance!). After asking where our food might be, he turned around and immediately, all of our food came out. Appetizers and entrees all at once brought out by a runner. As I said previously, no waiter came by to check on how our meal was. We had to ask a busboy for water, napkins, our second round of drinks. Unfortunately he said they have no plastic ware for kids (I suppose understandable since there is no take out from this place). We decided to consult a manager as we did not feel that the waiter deserved any tip for only taking our order, and damned if we were going to have to wait to dispute after receiving a check with a gratuity added for a large party. It took more than 15 minutes for the bartender to come by (no manager tonight...) and listen to our experience. He offered us a business card with a number to contact to lodge a complaint. Only help he really was, was to tell us don't tip! We did see the waiter once again after the request for a manager to fill our water glasses and once again after we asked the busboy for the check. He did not speak a single word after we had asked about when our food was coming out. We ended up leaving him one dollar and handed the busboy the cash he deserved for doing the other guy's job. I truly hope that this was just a one time deal, but be warned that your dinner may not be as good as you may recall from past experience ...

Jamie Molina is unqualified and unprofessional for a manager. I would never recommend Pio Pio to anyone after my poor service, customer service and lack of professionalism. Tonight I called to simply share my displeasure with a seafood dish are ordered for me and my girlfriend on Monday. I have ordered the mixed seafood rice dish there many times before. However, this time I place the order to go, I was very specific when I ordered the young lady that took my order never notified me of the different types I’ll seafood rice dishes that’s on the menu. I simply told her that I wanted to order the seafood paella, she said OK, never asked nor notified me that they were different options available. Bear in mind, I ordered this dish 4 times Within the last three months every time it was done right, however, this was the first time for my girl, however she couldn’t even enjoy it, Unbeknownst to me this the dish had dairy and cheese in myself. With the lady that took my order never mentioned, if she did, I would have never ordered it because my girl is lactose intolerant. I Absolutely didn’t enjoy it, I only had a few bites. So I called tonight simply to express my displeasure for the lack of information that was provided to me by the young lady that took my order and into at lease get some kind of compensation. However, that did not happen when I was left with after the weekend to However, that did not happen all I was left with after speaking to Jamie Molina Was a big headache, anger and frustration. Who the hell makes a dairy and cheese seafood Paella... smh. Tonight I called just to address my issue and to make a complaint regarding my bad food experience on Monday.. Thanks However the manager Jamie Molina was by far my worst experience that I’ve ever experienced from a manager, in my personal opinion, he’s not qualified to be To be a leader or anything involving...
