I’m an NYC local who spends a lot of time on rooftop bars/ restaurants in this area, and this one was really disappointing. First thing to note, it’s now completely enclosed for colder weather, so if you’re coming here for an open air experience, that ship has sailed. Now, let’s talk COVID precautionary measures. The positive: they have a QRCode to scan so you don’t have to touch physical menus and don’t have to spend too much time interfacing w servers. Ok, great. The negative, which for me is a complete deal breaker: the majority of the staff on the floor and at check in were not properly masked. More than half the employees I could see were improperly masked. So now we are talking about indoor dining with staff who are wearing their masks down under their noses. Even the security guy at check in wasn’t properly masked. I’m there getting my temperature taken and must be masked to go into this place, yet the staff isn’t held to these standards? Completely unacceptable, and I wish I would’ve seen a review like this before going. Now, let’s talk about drinks. You’re going to pay $19 a cocktail, which is wayy overpriced for this specific bar. The drinks are completely filled w ice and totally watered down. True, at a rooftop in NYC you expect to pay a premium, however at $19 a cocktail, you could be at a MUCH nicer rooftop w a much better view, w stronger drinks, and much fewer employees who are ignoring COVID precautionary measures. The space itself is quite nice and spacious, hence the 2nd star, but there are wayyyyyyyy better options for NYC rooftop experiences. The view is ok, you can see the skyline in the distance, but it’s not show-stopping. For out of towners looking for a great rooftop, try checking out Time Out New York for ideas- they always publish lists of great ones to visit. This bar needs a reality check with its pricing, a revamp of its cocktails, and a complete overhaul of its COVID policies. I...

September 19 2020 I went there with my friends a total of 7 people and had a ball! Music the view the vibe everything no complaints!!Two of my best friend birthday was coming up and I suggested this place since we had so much fun. We had at lease 15 people show up for October 24th.We was put in the back area since we had a big group. Still look good but the music was very low and there was no speakers in the back so that was annoying! We noticed that the music play list wasn’t the same dj from the last time we was there. 4 out of the group it was there birthday. I ask the waiter to ask the dj to play the song shine the light on her and some pop smoke since we are in Brooklyn and to please give a shout out. My group had spend over 2,000 or at least, but you get the point! The waiter comes back and said dj doesn’t wanna play that song. I’m totally confused because I never heard of a dj not playing a song when it’s being requested. So the waiter suggested why won’t one of you ladies ask. One of the birthday girls ask the dj and he said I Don’t Work For You!!!! I could not believe how rude and disrespectful he was!!! My group only requested to play one song and it was an issue! The music play list really was zero and mind you I love mix music. I love Spanish music, pop, rock , hip hop and r and b. He did not play what was trending far as I’m concerned.. We didn’t let this ruin the night we just made the best of it. Other then that beautiful...

Unprofessional!!! Nearly ruined my Mother's Day plans! I had a 6:15 reservation and while in route to the restaurant, I receive a text message at 5:15pm stating that the kitchen would be closing at 6pm and that the restaurant would be closing at 7pm! I immediately called and could not get in touch with the actual restaurant or speak to a manager about why they would allow us to make a reservation for 6:15 (which I did weeks ago) and then send a text stating that they're closing 45 minutes after that. I was coming to this place from another state! The staff at the front desk really cannot assist with anything restaurant related so why not have a phone?! Someone asked me if I could get there before 6pm...After I specifically stated that I'm coming from afar, not to mention a rainy day in traffic and having to look for parking. On Mother's Day majority of places are completely booked, especially with covid restrictions. I was given an email address to contact the manager. Thankfully I was able to find someplace else at the very last minute. This place deserves zero stars. I've been wanting to patronize this establishment for a while and I am highly disappointed in how they handled this situation and for the lack of...

Box house events group did the wedding for my son and his New York bride. I think they did a wonderful job but I had to take off one Starr just because the hotel asked to pass out bags and interact with the public. Had one manager on duty that seemingly didn’t really care how things were going. She was not courteous and she was making things difficult and if I would’ve known that the events group or different from the hotel. I would’ve really put her back on her chair because she was rude and she misrepresented the event staff and the hotel in general. He did a great job we appreciate it. The bags are no big deal but managers or people at the front desk need to have a smile they need to stand up and they can’t act like they’re the boss.

Our wedding was a blast! The team at Box House Events was helpful and supportive right from the start, and all the way through our incredible wedding day. They made it easy to plan ahead, with organized documents and regular check-ins. On wedding day, they made sure we felt comfortable, offering last minute additions and taking care of smaller details while we focused on family, friends, photos and more. Overall, the venue was a fun, beautiful, non-traditional option for a great wedding night (it was cold though, on the roof in late November!). Our guests continue to rave about the food and drinks, and it was such a blast to have a party with views of the New York skyline. Thank you Box House Events!
