Peeps Kitchen blew my mind. We were going to see a concert at Brooklyn Steel and so searched for restaurants in the area beforehand. The menu as well as the adorable art/paint job on the restaurant's exterior caught my attention immediately. We arrived to find the owners were the absolute nicest, most genuine people ever. I ordered a chicken burger and boneless wings with a sweet ginger sauce (I think, I forgot exactly what they were called), and my girlfriend ordered wings and mozzarella sticks. We went to a nearby community garden to eat and oh my god, on my first bite, I saw a vision-- a paradise made of chicken. Those wings were perfectly crispy with their breading and nuts and sesame seeds atop them and the sauce was just everything I've ever wanted on boneless chicken. And here is where I make a confession to the internet. I got halfway through my chicken burger when disaster struck. But let this be a testament to how delicious this chicken burger was. I dropped it. I dropped half the burger on the soil. I contemplated my course of action for a few seconds time and decided. I picked it up, got rid of a large portion of bun and dusted off the rest. And guys... I finished that burger with no regrets. The flavor of the burger gave me no choice in the matter. If you like fried chicken, you have no choice either-- you must come to Peeps Kitchen!

The chicken here is absolutely insane—I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’m Korean, and honestly, this tastes even better than most chicken I’ve had back home. You can tell the oil is super clean, the batter is incredibly crispy, and the meat is so juicy inside. It’s just unbelievably delicious. I’m so grateful to have a spot like this near my workplace. You can really feel the owner’s passion for chicken, and they’re so kind too. On top of that, the price for chicken of this quality is unbelievable. I can’t believe it’s this good and this affordable. This place deserves way more recognition. Trust me and give it a try! I had the Padak chicken, fried wings, and Gang jeong, and all three were next-level. But the fried chicken especially? And make sure to get the sweet & spicy sauce on the side with the fried chicken—it’s a must. You can either pick up your order or eat it out front on the benches since there aren’t any tables inside. Also, keep in mind that because everything is made with such care, it takes about 20 minutes for the chicken to come out. Totally worth the wait—enjoy!

The food here was among the best I've ever had, it's been some of the best fried chicken I've ever come to taste. I'm no official critic but ladies and gentlemen, anyone can clearly appreciate and understand the quality of this fried chicken. I was simply wondering around the street to see if I could get some food and I saw this place, I walked in just because of my curiosity. TO my amazement I had found gold out of no where. They're tagline on Instagram "NYC's best kept secret" is definitely no understatement, in one of the most strangest places to find gold. There is gold. Apart from the food here, they're service was the best I had seen around all the area. They expressed their joy and passion not just on the food, but as well in their packaging. While waiting, you could see up close their love into their packaging. Only among the best can this restaurant be put up with it. Definitely will be sharing this local secret around and keep coming back for their amazing fried chicken!!!!

Unacceptable service. Ordered on ChowNow where it said 15-25 min estimate. Showed up 40 min later and the owner said "we were just about to start cooking your food. We need another 20-30 minutes". I asked politely for them to cancel as I had somewhere to be and she acted like she was unable to do so because the order "was already confirmed" when there was clearly a (Full Refund) button on her tablet. I asked her nicely to cancel my order and she said ok and I left. Later was forced to contact chownow which has nonexistent support lines and after trying 3 contact methods, i reached chownow which contacted Peeps kitchen and then the owner denied my refund even though they never even made my food to begin with. Not to mention if they were so busy that they had to wait 40 mins to start my order, the food would have just went to the next order as their menu selection is very limited. Also, not sure if they were just overwhelmed that day, but they were giving attitude and being kind of rude to two black delivery drivers that came in while I was there.

Reply: sure, maybe not racist. But still incredibly rude either way. I never demanded anything and only asked "if you could please do this", "If you could please do that". Playing dumb and acting like you "can't" give a refund on an order not yet cooked is just not a good look. Sure part of it is ChowNow's problem with time estimates but you showed no respect to your customer and acted like you wanted to help but couldn't when in reality you just wanted my $100. I even offered to replace the same order on a delivery service if you'd cancel my pickup. I went way out of my way to be polite and respectful to you and your business, and you didn't even bother to try. Not even a partial refund or a future credit (things a respectful and reasonable business owner would have offered.

ChowNow's exact words: "Unfortunately the restaurant has denied the refund request due to the food already being prepared ... My team at ChowNow is able to process a refund for you as a one-time courtesy for the confusion." This was a day later and you intentionally denied my refund. Yes, I did get my money back as ChowNow does 1-time courtesy credits when there are unresolved disputes. That doesn't mean you addressed the issue. This is an honest review,...

Although I’ve never tried food from this place, my mom (a delivery driver) experienced the worst service at this place. She was picking up a customer’s order and was told only 5 minutes and ended up waiting for 20 minutes without no complaints. The food was already in the bag and all the lady had to do was staple the bag so my mom could leave. The customer lives in Long Island so my mom had to leave and the lady decides to pick up a call instead of stapling the bag which literally takes 2 seconds, not mindful of my mom’s time AT ALL (TIME IS MONEY!!!) My mom, obviously in a rush, asks the lady to staple the bag so she can just leave since taking a customer’s call and writing down their order takes a bit and the food was already there. The lady rudely responded to my mom which my mom in response asked if she could just staple it herself. This led to an increasing argument between the two and the lady had a guy come out to kick my mom out the store when all she needed to do was STAPLE THE BAG so my mom could DO HER JOB. The lady also rudely said to my mom “you’re just a delivery person” which is so condescending and rude since she’s picking up food for YOUR CUSTOMERS. Treat your drivers with respect too, they’re serving your customers. Don’t ever try to treat my mom like...
