Costumer service is terrible. The staff in the front desk is rude and unprofessional. They gossip out in the open where parents and children wait. Plus the teachers are mean and scream at the kids. Its not a friendly or welcoming environment. The costumes are over prices and when I complained about my daughters costume being too big , they told me to pin it and I was unable to exchange it for a smaller size. So you are paying a ton of money for a costume to then pay to fix it because they can't get the size right. The the recital tickets are over priced and they require you to buy 4 per family. From my experience, it seems that they are in it only for the money and do not care about the children . I gave them a try this year because they are a bit cheaper than Fancy feet , but you are better off paying the extra money in fancy feet. The staff at fancy feet is very kind and professional. The teacher have patiences and the classrooms are not over crowded. The recital ticket are cheap. They even give all the students trophies. In BDT if you want a trophy , you have to buy it from a...
Read moreMy daughter has been dancing with BDT going on her fifth year this coming fall and I absolutely love it. She started with BDT by winning a scholarship from the school was in at the time. I was really nervous at first given my daughter is Autistic and I wasn't sure how it would work out but she was so interested in dance and I had to give it a try and I am so glad I did. She went from having no friend and being afraid of kids to making her first friend and becoming a social butterfly! She absolutely loves her dance school, gets so excited for her shows and I owe a greet deal of gratitude to them for being so understanding and patient with her. Ive read ppl complaining about staff and teachers and where no place is perfect but this staff and teachers know who their students are and treat everyone with respect. I have recommend BDT to many ppl and will always have nothing be great...
Read moreAmazing place! Three years ago my daughter asked us for dance lessons, so we visited the bronx dance theater, and after comparing it to others, chose this school because the price was very competitive and the people were lovely. We decided to let her try a ballet class for the summer. Three years have passed and instead of one class she now takes nine classes and has also qualified for the dance competition team! Our daughter has made several friends, has learned so much about dedication and responsibility, and spends at least 10 hours a week being physically active! If you want to help your child become more physically active, develop new friendships, and become more confident about themselves within a positive community then you should absolutely enroll them at the Bronx...
