We came in for Taco Tuesday and had high hopes. The birria tacos were delicious, juicy, flavorful, and just $2 each. You can add cheese for $0.50 per taco, which was worth it. However, the consomé was an extra $3, and that wasn’t mentioned anywhere, a heads-up would’ve been appreciated. Once you add the consomé and cheese to the price of each taco, it’s really not much of a happy hour deal after all.
I ordered the mango habanero margarita, which had a nice flavor but barely any alcohol. My husband got the Henny colada, and there was no Henny at all, essentially a virgin colada. For the price, both drinks were underwhelming.
The service was the worst part. Our waitress was visibly irritated, slammed everything on the table, cups of ice, the water jug, our drinks and never made eye contact or acknowledged us. She took 15 minutes to come take our order, was rude when she finally did, and didn’t even respond when we said thank you.
While the restaurant was clean, staff kept walking through the dining area carrying full garbage bags to take outside, multiple times during our visit, which definitely killed the atmosphere. They also don’t provide small plates or cutlery, which makes sharing or eating things like tacos with consomé messier than it needs to be.
When you walk in, there’s a QR code promoting a Google review in exchange for a free churro. It seems they only give you the churro if the review is positive, which feels manipulative and skews the restaurant’s online ratings.
The tacos were genuinely great, but between the surprise charges, watered-down drinks, poor service, and strange operational choices, I won’t be coming back. Good food alone isn’t enough to make up for a...
Read moreShout out to our waiter🙌🏻 the restaurant had him serving tables, taking everyone’s order and had to sit everyone who walked in today on his own. His team saw him struggling and did not offer to help he even had to clean the tables when people were leaving. Though he struggled due to the lack of help he still smiled at everyone and was not rude unlike the young lady in the register who declined to charge our card. Me and my sister had to get up to pay for our food at the register as the place kept getting busier and the waiter was unable to provide us with a bill at the moment. I felt so bad for him, there was about 7 girls behind the bar just standing there including another man with tattoos who also declined to assist the waiter with the tables. My sister lost her cool in there and spoke up for the worker. I feel like team work is everything I get it people are tired and don’t want to work but customer service is everything. None of the customers who walked in were greeted by any staff aside from the waiter who had to sit them down. The ladies in the register were very passive aggressive and did not want to charge our order they wanted the waiter to do it on top of all the work that he was doing by himself. The food here actually taste very good and I love their frozen drinks I really do hope a higher up could investigate this and train the team on being a team, the importance of helping one another out in order to have a successful business. Remember every customer that walks in is revenue to keep your business open and to keep your jobs. Hope you guys do...
Read moreThe food here is amazing but when I visited this location today there were about 8-7 people behind the bar area and they had 1 waiter serving all 7 tables by himself. You can tell the waiter was so over whelmed with the amount of orders and drinks he had to serve. The whole team was watching him do it by himself and they refused to help him. It was 25 minutes after we had eaten and the waiter couldn’t provide us with our receipt to pay due to him having to serve all 45 customers on his own. I went to the front register to pay and one of the laziest girls of the crew said she couldn’t charge my card that I had to wait on the waiter and I asked her why is no one helping the waiter and she proceeded to repeat that I had to wait on the waiter to come and provide me with a receipt mind you the waiter was going as fast as he could, but he had too much tables and cannot provide me with a receipt. I lost my cool in there and I’m literally one of the nicest people on this earth. But it infuriated my spirit how unfair they were treating that worker just horrible, horrible the wait times, the team declining to help the waiter. I mean this man was taking orders, serving drinks and cleaning all the tables by his self and the place was super packed just horrible. Lazy crew lazy team, I really do hope and pray the waiter is able to find another job where he is valued, and he is seen and he is helped. It’s inhumane to treat workers this way. Definitely placing in a complaint...
