Ciccarone Park — Attraction in New York

This park used to be so much better in the 90s when there was the handball court, monkey bars, the little hide out underneath the slide, board game competitions during the summertime and soccer games. Ever since they so called "renovated " it only became less kid friendly and more sterile feeling. The space that used to be for handball, soccer and monkey bars is now just a huge area of benches and seating for old people to hang out all day. Also the section with the structures for people to work out attract grown men without kids that are sometimes not acting in a kid friendly manner. Loud music, cursing, drinking. A cute green space in Little Italy. Great for grabbing a bite to eat and enjoying some time outdoors. It's not lots and quite relaxing compared to some city parks. There's lots of equipment for children to use and ample seating to enjoy some time at this park. There is a sprinkler to splash and cool off in as well as toilets. Lots of trees and greenery.
