TLDR: Racists/Discrimination/Racial Profiling (ZERO STARS! STAY AWAY!!)

This supermarket is highly anti-POC and anti-WOC. I have been profiled not once but twice. This second time has indefinitely made me never EVER wanting to return again.

The first instance this happened I was walking around the store and looking for someone I was with, holding an item in my hand. I couldn’t find them but I noticed a older male employee following me around all the way until I was checking out. After that he literally stopped following me and went away. I was livid and angry once I realized he was following me around for no reason.

I swore I wouldn’t go back again but since it’s the closest supermarket nearby and open all 24 hours I decided to give it a second shot. Huge mistake! The second time I was profiled, I saw this cute plushy and took it and was going to purchase it. I noticed the plushy looked weird upon closer inspection and left it in one of the aisles.

As I was walking around the store buying items I needed, literally at the checkout and ready to leave. This so-called “security guard” stands in front of me demanding to see the plushy I took. I politely told him I left it behind since I didn’t want it and he proceeds to demand for me to show him where I left it.

I was in utter shock and my sister walked with this man to show him where it was. The “genius” then comes back with the plushy in hand and starts to apologize but I was just so dumbfounded to believe they literally would think I would steal a $7 plushy when I paid like double that for the items I purchased.

On top of that: I called this out to the manager that the security man was following me around and asking for the plushy I picked up and demanding where it was and he literally did nothing. Both of these men were POC and did absolutely nothing, all of these men are POC and discriminate women of color, people of color and non-neurotypical people.

As someone who went out their way to patron this establishment and actually pay every time I go and be accused at this level is insane! I will be reporting this place to the BBB and will NEVER...

Prices need to come down. This place used to be a good deal up until they remodeled. Now it seems we're all stuck with the bill. This place is a living love-hate relationship, so 3 stars seems fair

Cons: -very high prices -gouging tactics: sales always seem to disappear right when a shopping holiday comes (like Thanksgiving, magically everything is now full price -- happens all the time) -missing pricetags - - almost seems intentional to not give you the info up front so once you get to the register you tend to just take the item instead of going back to make another selection -beware fresh food/produce sales, the item may actually go bad in an extremely short amount of time (happened many times) -pre-made sandwich bar sandwich once had actual mold in it (worst part, I ate half of it before I noticed 🤢)

Pros: -broad and eclectic variety -great produce section -"health conscious" options (lots more items now that are gluten free, vegan, ethically sourced, etc) -good presentation and lighting -very nice bakery and coffee station -fresh sushi bar is delicious (though a bit overpriced) -cashiers are the nicest people in the entire store (give them a raise!) -has a big parking lot -shelves usually all fully...

Very complete supermarket, you can find Almoust everything. The good part about it Ia, that they integrated a fish market, ( small, but fresh seafood, the basic ) the prices are reasenable I discovered that moust of the supermarkets they Sell the same fruits and vegetables as "organic" But..if you pay ATTENTION!👀 (open your eyes) Very well ! They have the sane package, and brand As "ORGANIC" AND THEY ARE AS WELL DISPLAY AS "NON ORGANIC" SECTION. YOU END UP PAYING MORE " FOR YHE SAME PRODUCT.! THE ORGANIC PRODUCTS MOST START WITH A CODE # 9. NOT. 4. *NUMBER 4 IS NOT ORGANIC ! SAMETHING HAPPEND BYNG IN THE "ORGANIC STORES" THE SAME TOMATES. BERRIES, LUTTECE MANGOS, ONIONS, APPLES GRAPES ETC..THEY ARE THE SAME BRANDS SELLING AT THE SUPERMARKETS "CHEAPER ! BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ORGANIC!! SO..PAY ATENTION TO LABELS, PACKAGES, AND SERIAL # THEY ARE THE SAME.!!!! ONLY # 9 ARE 100% ORGANIC NOT ANY OTHER # LESS THAN #4 AREN'T HEALTHY. ! AND IF YOU FIND SOMETHING VERY, VERY CHEAP. YOU MAY GET SICK, THAT MEANS..THEY WANT TO GET RID OF THOSE "RAPIDO" SPECIAL WITH THE MEATS AND POULTRY..! OTHER THAN THAT, YOU ARE THE CONSUMER! WE MOST BE CONCIOUS OF WHAT WE PUT INSIDE OUR...
