This is my first bad review on Google and Booking, the worst hotel I've stayed in in my 15 years of business travel experience. Their receptionist was a rude woman and they even couldn't use a credit card with a magnetic strip, so I had to pay them hundreds of dollars in cash. The first floor room I stayed in was very dirty, tables, chairs, carpets, curtains were all moldy, and the loud air conditioner gave off an extremely unpleasant smell. The lock of the window is broken, the window of the room on the 1st floor can be opened directly from the outside. And the woman at the front desk refused to change my room, she just said to me rudely: "Our hotel is safe, what are you worried about?" Their WiFi Super8LIC couldn't connect. When I went to bed at night, I found that there was no quilt on the bed at all, only a very thin cloth. The soundproofing of the room was very poor, the floor was making noises and the whole night was noisy, cold and restless. Too bad they charge $160 for a room like this, never come here unless you want the worst hotel ever!

A decent place to stay for two guys in their 20's. The free on-site parking is a HUGE plus. They have a nice continental breakfast of coffee, cereal (milk is in the silver pitcher), and a limited variety of pasteries. They also have free WiFi which worked flawlessly during our stay! The beds are comfy, and while the bathrooms are small, they are surprisingly clean. The subway is a 10 minute walk away (no sweat for two guys in their 20's), but they also have a bus stop located right outside the hotel and plenty of Lyft/Uber service nearby. But by far the coolest part of our stay was being able to order pizza directly to our hotel room at 1am! One downside is that our room smelled kinda funny upon entry...which is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5. BUT COME ON...IT'S A SUPER 8 IN QUEENS. If you're going in with high expectations, you're just ASKING to be disappointed. It's honestly not that bad and we were reasonably satisfied with our stay.

This place does not deserve ANY stars. The hotel was overpriced, at $235 for a night. linen was brown and unkept. Worst of all, I had to stay awake killing bedbugs. There were about 8 that crawled up in the space of two hours. Now going back home Hoping I can rid myself of the bugs so they don’t come into my space. When I complained in the morning, I met a really rude Indian lady who claimed she was South African and said I had no right to express my dissatisfaction to her because ‘she is a woman’. She refused to grant access to redress or offer an apology. She told me to call the police, leave a review or do my worst. My stay in room 214 very easily is my worst experience ever, I could not even bring myself to use their linen or eat their ‘light breakfast’, who knows what they cook in that space. It doesn’t even rank as a motel, more like a bedbug farm where humans are lured into feed and spread the bugs.

I reserved a 3 double-beds room for 6 people for 3 days thru booking.com at this hotel. The nightmare ranged from moldy bathroom and dirty tub, not fulfilling advertised amenity,, defective window and TV, to staff who were evasive and non-responsive to calls and emails from both me and booking.com.

  1. there was mold in bathroom ceiling, made 1 person in our group sick with headache, coughs, and nauseous. We were told later that New York has a Local Law 55 requirinng rental units like hotels to be free of mold. So this is a legal violation.

  2. no laundry although advertised: I reserved this hotel specifically because they advertised "laundry" on booking.com, but when I asked for it after check-in, they said "laundry means we wash sheets and towels, it's for us to use, not for customers"

  3. a parking lot-facing window was so warped that it left a gap allowing outside noises all night

  4. the TV was unviewable with flickering dots and lights across the screen

  5. bathtub was dirty with very visible dark residues all over the tub and couldn't be washed out

  6. carpets had dirty patches that were sticky

Here's the communication time line:

2nd day after initial check-in: we checked out to move to a better hotel, asked for refund, denied, told to call back

2nd day: I initiated the complaint process on booking.com where I booked this. Hotel didn't respond to initial call or message from booking.com, but it had 48 hours to respond.

4th day: I called the manager again, clerk said the they're unavailable, and they don't know when they will be back, and told me to call back later.

4th day: I called booking.com, hotel still hasn't responded, now it's over 72 hours (over the 48hrs window booking.com allows them)

9th day: I called the hotel again. This time, the clerk said the manager may be back "this evening or tomorrow, I don't know," and that I can call back  tomorrow after 4pm.

10th day: called hotel, clerk said "call back 8-10 am, or send an email to inaudible",  I said I was told to call at this time, then the staff hung up.

10th day: I have submitted complaints on BBB and NYC311 (for violating Local Law 55 on mold presence).

This property has shown bad faith in fulfilling their promises products, stalled multiple attempts to communicate from me and its booking

partner (booking.com), and has broken a health code that caused illness in our...

To start, our family room reserved for 2 months was busy. Then we were made to understand that we were lucky that he could offer us 2 rooms without charging us extra. We therefore accepted but we were not happy to put the children in one room and the adults in the other, in addition to the fact that the room was not connected and even a corridor separated the two doors. rate cleanliness, how to explain, mold on the ceiling, bedspread with stains and food residue. There was yogurt in the curtains on the wall. Poor hygiene of the premises, we took all our precautions on return in case of bed fleas! Customer service, only one word comes to mind: pitiful. during our check-in the clerk told us to lower our expectations since the included lunch was: 1 yogurt and 1 granola bar per person. Which by the way was no longer available from 9am in the morning. We never enjoyed breakfast during our stay. Being a family of 5 we were thinking of saving but ultimately it cost us more. Finally, the clerks, housekeepers and other staff where we never discovered what it was used for or what their specific tasks were, I would ask them but why are you not pleasant with the tourist because it seems to me that it is a tourist establishment a super 8 hotel and even more than touristy is supposed to be a family place. So there you have it, I recommend it to anyone! Transforming this place for the wanderers will at least help...
