I took my road test here on Monday and it was the worse experience I have ever had since I started driving in my life. To be honest, I know why she failed me, I know that the mistakes I made weren't good...but I also knew I was going to fail before I even started driving. Examiner 813 was rude from the moment she came to ask me about my appointment time. She looked like she didn't even want to be there and I could understand somewhat because it was raining, but when I fixed my seat, my mirrors and was going to close my passenger side window she started screaming at me, "TO NEVER TOUCH HER WINDOW, AND TO NEVER CLOSE HER WINDOW EVER THAT IT ALWAYS STAYS OPEN. AND THAT IF I WAS COLD I COULD TURN THE HEAT UP, BUT TO NEVER TOUCH HER WINDOW." It was raining I was just trying to be polite, and also not wet my car more but I guess that was wrong. From that moment on my nerves skyrocketed through the roof. All of the training that I had done for that day were gone out of the window and I couldn't focus. And after it was over she told me to work on my turns and to try driving in residential areas as if she wasn't rude the whole time we were on the road. But when I looked at my receipt I was shocked by the overall score. Do I believe that the score that I got was accurate? No, I don't believe I warranted a score of 85 but it is what is. I'm not mad that she failed me, I can always take the test again. I'm just upset that they have examiners out there like this that treat people so badly, and that they would ruin what is supposed to be a wonderful experience as becoming a driver a horrible one. I am not taking my next road test there and I hope to never encounter this...
Read moreCunningham Park is a fair and beginner-friendly DMV road test location. The starting area is a block with speed bumps, which helps keep other cars from speeding through. This gives new drivers more time to prepare and pulling out without the pressure of fast-moving traffic. The more challenging parts come later in the test. On Union Turnpike, you often need to change lanes for right or left turns. The right-most lane sometimes has parked vehicles, and this can confuse first-time test takers about whether they should move fully into that lane to make a right turn. Good judgment and proper signals are very important there.
Toward the end, the route usually goes back into a parking lot, and students may be asked to pull into a parking space. Many new drivers are still developing their parking skills, so it’s easy to lose points here if the car isn’t centered in the lines.
Overall, it’s a good test site with a fair chance to pass if you are prepared. Practice lane changes and drive in parking, stay calm, and you will do great. Wishing everyone good luck and...
Read morePassed rode test, took 9 minutes. The guy was fair, don’t expect a conversation with them. If you know what you doing it shouldn’t be a problem. All they will ever say is directions (my person also stated every time I did something wrong which was twice 🙄). So if you follow directions and know-how to drive its an easy pass. I didn’t really have other cars on the road except when going back but even then the cars were at a light. if you learned from a family member, I would recommend signing up for at least one lesson with a school just so you know the little tips for passing. Especially if the person you learned from took the test years ago. There are little things you can get points on and fail the test. The biggest one my instructor told me that get people to fail is not properly checking when pulling out, changing lanes or even parking (that he know of). I believe that can be up to 10 points for each time you don't check correctly. All in all its a good...
