Bagel Shoppe — Restaurant in New York

I have been coming here for nearly 3 years since I moved to the area. The last 6 months the staff has changed and the service and quality is not the same. Today I went in ordered 3 egg and cheese bagels, the cheese was not melted and the bagels were cold. This could have been due to the fact the young man behind the counter incorrectly charged me for my order, and followed me outside to inform me of his mistake. I had to go back in the manager voided the transaction and recharged me instead of just charging me an additional $8 for the correct total. Once a customer leaves the store the customer should not have to come back into the store because the employee made a mistake. I was in a hurry to get home and eat and make it to the airport on time, and was further disappointed that the sandwiches weren’t even hot. I hope the charge was actually voided so I don’t have to return. I will not be spending my hard earned money at the Bagel Shoppe! I will be going to Utopia Bagels...

I live in the neighborhood so I come quite often. Bagels have never disappointed, cream cheese is good too, although sometimes I do get skimped a bit..and other times it’s perfect. Never have had too much though. Egg salad is good. My only gripe is I wish that I didn’t have to wait in the super long line for pickup orders. I’m not sure what would happen if I tried to skip ahead and quite frankly I don’t feel like trying and then getting the public stinkeye, so on days when I’m in a rush I can’t rely on being able to pickup my breakfast fast if there’s a long line. There’s nothing more aggravating than having your order messed up and with missing items. I walked in and asked for 3 eggs scrambled with cheese on a croissant. I order from here all the time. This isn’t the amount of 3 eggs. There’s also no cheese. Was charged $6 for this. The Hispanic lady at the counter was so rude. Walked away from me while ordering so I guess that’s why the cheese was missing. The place was empty. It was not loud. So there is no reason to be messing up a sandwich.
