I normally don’t write reviews but the food was so bad I had to write this one.

I ordered for delivery and I did not get my food for over an hour and a half. I wouldn’t have minded the wait if it wasn’t for the fact that I live about 10 blocks away! When I received the food I was surprised how terrible it was. First off, just opening the packaging the food was visually offputting. I was so hungry that I decided to eat it anyway.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll with extra crunchy flakes. It was delivered with no crunchy flakes and the fish tasted really old. It was overly sticky but oddly the roll did not even stay together. This is a common roll I usually order from other sushi restaurants and this definitely has to be the worst I’ve ever had.

I also ordered an eel cucumber roll which was another roll that did not stay together. Everything was falling apart that I had to eat it with my hands and eventually I had to use a fork.

The last thing I ordered was a Shrimp tempura roll. Not only did this roll fall apart but the fried shrimp was really cold as if it was cooked days ago. I never had sushi as bad as this and I’m very surprised after reading all the good reviews. There was nothing good about this place!

I will most definitely never order from here again. And would not recommend to my worst enemy. As I’m writing this I am feeling sick to my stomach. I will have to write another review if I really do get...

This was my go-to sushi spot for takeout, but now it will be my last one. My last order there was what it looked like hair in our food. I called the restaurant and made a complaint and demanded refund for my food. Initially, they wanted to give me credit for next time, which was something I didn't want. Since I ordered from BeyondMenu (where you order online from their website), I had to reach out to them for a refund. Then, they tell me is the plastic from the containers... what makes you think it is okay for customers to eat plastic? If you knew your containers were a problem, why didn't they change the way the packaging works at the restaurant? The restaurant wanted to still charge me for the spicy mayo and fried ice cream. I was content in paying for the ice cream, but the spicy mayo? What am I going to do with it without the rolls? In the end, BeyondMenu adjusted the amount and refunded all but the ice cream. Overall, I'm just disappointed in the whole situation: plastic vs. hair, thinking it is okay to credit for next time because my current food had hair in it, still wanting to charge me for the spicy mayo, and not addressing the container issue if they knew about it.

I have attached photos to this review. One picture is the Philadelphia roll, and the other is the spicy tuna. Both had what it looked like hair in...

A Hidden Gem in Oakland Gardens

From start to finish, our dinner at Sushi You was a delight.

Appetizer: We began with the House Tempura — two pieces each of shrimp and fish, plus two vegetables. Light, crisp, and not at all greasy, it set the tone for the meal beautifully.

Main Courses:

Sashimi Deluxe Entrée (16 pieces, chef’s choice) — every slice was fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented. I opted for the salad on the side, which was crisp and refreshing.

Trio Sushi Entrée (four pieces each of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail) — my friend paired this with miso soup, which was comforting and well-balanced.

Dessert: We couldn’t resist trying both the Black and White Mousse Cake and the Tempura Cheesecake. The mousse cake was light and creamy, while the tempura cheesecake was indulgent with a satisfying crunch.

Service & Atmosphere: The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the sushi chefs even took the time to explain the different parts of the fish used in our sushi — a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable.

Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and genuine hospitality make Sushi You a must-visit for sushi lovers in Queens. We’ll...

I’ve ordered for pickup multiple times and this is my first time dining in! I came here with my parents on a Sunday early evening with only 2 other tables filled but as we were leaving this place was packed with dine ins and phone orders/pick up. We ordered a “light” dinner of avocado salad, spring rolls, agedashi tofu for apps and two teriyaki bento box. We definitely over ordered because I was almost full from the apps alone, oops. Avocado salad was delish, came with thinly sliced avo and ginger dressing on the side. Spring rolls (Harumaki) was a bit disappointing in terms of side - it was ~$5 for essentially two spring rolls. The salmon teriyaki Bento box was very filling and delish. Love that you can sub the shumai for tempura (only for $1 additional!) and that came with two shrimp tempura and 3 veggie pieces. Worth the upgrade if you’re not a fan of shumai. Even though we only ordered 2 bento boxes to share (parents weren’t too hungry), they gave us miso soup for all of us! Service was great for the number of staff available and all the things each person had to do to hold down the fort. They were all super friendly and we got two slices of cantaloupe to end the meal!
