I have purchased meat here in the past with no issues. This particular time i decided to try the small turkey wings being I usually buy the regular size. When I got home and opened the bag, I noticed there were translucent parts of the skin that did not look normal. The skin of the turkey wing looked normal, but I had no clue what this translucent part was clear kind of like a jelly fish. I decided that I would return them and ask for the regular turkey wings being I never had any issues with that cut of meat in the past. As soon as I showed them the translucent pieces on each turkey wing, they got overly defensive telling me that was just how the skin looked, and nothing was wrong with the meat. Dolly then said once they sell the meat they do not refund. I told her I just wanted to get the regular size turkey wings and did not want my $ refunded. She continued being defensive insisting that nothing was wrong. I told her I was not going to engage in back and forth arguing and she then agreed to exchanging the meat for the regular size turkey wings. In Spanish she started talking to the male staff member who then went to the register and told me to take my money back. His tone and demeanor were beyond defensive and dismissive. I live close by and I'm the first to say we needed a decent butcher in the Neighborhood. Unfortunately, there poor customer service will be the reason I choose to travel to anther butcher to purchase my meat. Really nice to know where I can find rack of lamb in the Heights. On top of that, staff is frendly and communicative as I was also looking for "morcillas" and they made the extra mile to guide me where. There is only one thing I didn't like though. I bought a whole bag of rack of lamb that was supposedly sealed in order to avoid cross contamination. It just didn't as there were holes on the bag, so I decided to cook all the racks at once to be safe.
